“Favorites are the chicken caesar wrap, gyro wrap, matzoh ball soup and (an absolutely humongous) garden salad.”

“We've been looking for a cheap place to eat a good, hot breakfast with plenty of coffee refills (instead of the $15 brunch deals with morning cocktails that are all over the city).”

  1. Came here for breakfast after church last Sunday, got seated right away at a booth.  The food came minutes later, but maybe too quick… Cheese in my omlette wasn't even melted!  Cheap but probably won't go back – too many better places in NYC!!

  2. the two is for the service. absolutely terrible. i've gone there multiple times – just to pick up food or late night…every single time, service is just terrible. food is actually really really good diner food. (which is why i continue to go, but it's also convenient to where i'm located)

went there on saturday night around 3am, ordered our food. they forgot half of it, they didnt come to take our order for at least 30 minutes and then when we finally did order, we were almost sleeping on the table since it was an additional 45 mins.

all in all – grilled cheese, fries, mac and cheese, all good – but try not to go when it's too busy.

  3. What a pleasant little spot! I went in for a simple muffin with orange juice – to my surprise, it was so much more than that!

I ordered your standard blueberry muffin – what they did next really made the difference. The waitress cut the muffin in half and toasted it. It was amazing, they served it on a plate with butter and jelly. Now, I can never have a muffin without making it this way.

I attached the picture for your viewing pleasure.

As far as other foods, I wouldn't know but if you want a muffin, this is the place to be.

  4. My friend introduced me to this spot when I asked her about a place that we could have breakfast.  This place has a solid selection of the classics but I'd expect nothing less from a diner.  I can eat breakfast all day so I think it's awesome that this place is open 24 hrs! I must give a shout out, not to a person, but to the freakin' orange juice (…my server was good too but unfortunately I don't know his name)! I like orange juice on occasion when I get a taste for it and this orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and was ice cold! I ended up having 2 glasses of it it was so good!  My server kept the coffee coming hot and fast every time I emptied my cup and I just about licked my plate when I was done with my bacon and eggs.  Sorry that I can't speak from experience about the lunch or dinner options on the menu but this place will definitely be a "go to" for me when I just want a good and simple breakfast.

  5. This place had a nice little omlete(western) toast for $5

Can't really beat that in NYC

  6. Hole in the wall diner in the neighborhood that is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The menu is quite extensive everything from breakfast all day to dinner and sandwiches and burgers. The corned beef in the Ruben was delish, however it wasn't executives very well. The bread was so greasy I couldn't pick it up so I just ate some of the inside wit a fork. On our second visit I got smart and ordered breakfast, corned beef hash and eggs. Much better choice!

  7. Love this place. Why? It does the basic diner things right. The food comes out quick, the staff is indifferent but nice, and the menu has 3 too many pages… Loves it. Delivery is quick, though I order from my buddies place which is across the street. Favorites are the chicken caesar wrap, gyro wrap, matzoh ball soup and (an absolutely humongous) garden salad. Though pricey (for a diner), it's a good option when you don't feel like cooking or you need some late night soup  and a burger delivered to your face.

    Bonus: Open 24hrs

  8. My best friend and I went here after a night out. I was inebriated and she was coherent enough to read the menu. It seemed like a decent place because it was closer than 7A. MEH, I was wrong.

The waiter was hitting on my friend even though she's obviously not interested. Then he goes from overattentive to basically neglect. Fine.

I ordered French Toast and a chocolate milkshake because that made sense at the time and my friend got the vegetable omelette and a fruit milkshake.

My food was simple but decent, no major wow's though, but my friend said she regretted her meal. Bland and not tasty at all. Sucks.

Overall, I'll probably never come back. There are better places nearby.
