This place had an amazing selection of wine. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a Portugese Vino Verde, which is a delicious inexpensive wine I had several years ago. That made me so happy! Try it, it's delicious!
Large selection of wine and liquors with a very friendly and helpful staff. Moe always helps me find wine im looking for or suggests an alternative if they dont have what i want. I love you Moe! The prices are the lowest ive seen in Queens (i'm from Bayside where by comparison, the wine markups are a few bucks a bottle) and much cheaper than Manhattan. They also offer a discount if you buy wine in bulk. There have been a few wines i came here to look for that they did not carry, although to be fair, they were rare reds (from 1997) aaand the other two stores i stopped by in Sunnyside didnt carry them either (maybe one day ill get lucky). My go to wine and liquor store as its also a very convenient location – right off the 40th & Lowery stop on the 7.
Lowery is a PHENOMENAL place to buy wine and spirits. Knowledgable staff? Check. Extensive selection of rums, mezals, chardonnays, or whatever else you can think of? Check. Beyond solid prices? Check plus. (I have purchased fantastic wines for under $15 here many times.) Really, you can't get better than that. I am so lucky to have Lowery Liquors within a few blocks of my apartment.
I love this place. They have a very large selections of everything. If you don't see what you want you can always speak to the staff about it and they would order it for you if they can. All their prices are reasonable. I had someone from PA ask me to stop in to buy Johnny Walker Blue that was on sale. That is how well known Lowery Liquors is. I always come here when I need to purchase any presents and during the holidays they offer the best gift boxes.
Great liquor store. Long time local business. Great inventory. Friend informed staff. Very organized. They'll often have some wine sampling here and there and I can usually get some rare finds and holiday gift sets. Pretty much the go to reliable place in the hood. Want beer? Try next door.
Extensive amount wines and liquors. I was looking for fish eye wine and couldn't find it anywhere around me. I'm coming from bayside and this place had it in stock. They have a great selection like you would expect in a manhattan liquor store but significantly cheaper prices. Some of the wines are on sale too. The staff is pretty friendly. Even though it's a bit out of the way from me, this place will have what you are looking for at great prices.
