  1. Solid lunch choice in midtown. Can be a bit pokey during peak times. Wish they had more meats than chicken but I understand there is only so much you can fit in a truck. Pad kee mao (drunken noodles) were very good. I'll be back!

  2. NOM NOM NOM!! I'm currently eating the drunk man noodle and thought I would do some yelpin while enjoying my lunch.  You can't go wrong with this truck, the food is bomb!  A few things you need to know:

-typically parked on 46th and 6th
    – meals run from about $8-$10
    -large portions
    -quickly served
-heavy on the spice, seriously my mouth is on fire

  3. 3.5 stars.

Their $9 lunch special is amazing. You can pick either white rice or fried rice, served along with  chicken cutlet and one sauce of your choice. I once got the fried rice with green curry sauce, which was a great combination. The portion is pretty generous as well. But my biggest problem with this place is that their white rice is often lumpy and not-so-fresh. I noticed this when I got their basil chicken – the chicken and stir-fried veggie themselves were delicious, but the rice was really sub-par in quality. So I would suggest you stick to their fried rice for whatever dish you get. Sometimes the wait can be long (10-15 mins), especially during peak lunch times, but they are generally fast and efficient with your orders. Definitely check it out if you work around the area and are looking for a cheap, fast and delicious lunch option!

  4. I'm not one to regularly eat at a food truck but the Thai food on this truck is really good. I usually get the Thai basil chicken friend rice and it is so good. I actually think it's better than the Thai restaurant in the area. I never know when this truck will be out but when it is my coworker and I always go. We were on our way to get pizza today and we had to abort the mission when we saw the truck parked outside. There is usually a line but it goes pretty quickly and they are pretty quick with the food preparation. There are a good amount of items on the menu to choose from. I'll need to figure out their schedule.

  5. I would give this good truck a solid 5 stars for many reasons. Firstly, the food tasted great! Felt like I was eating from a Thai resteraunt. Secondly, the service was also great for a food truck that had a line of at least 20 people. Lastly, the pricing was average and well worth it.

I had the Thai basil chicken over white rice and I enjoyed my food. The portion was great, they gave more rice than meat but the pieces of chicken were big and it was proportioned for the size of the container. The chicken was cooked and seasoned very well.

I got there around 1 pm during lunch rush hour, the line was very long but it moved quickly as they had 1 person taking and processing orders and two others cooking and packing orders to order. It was a good system and I got my food in under 4 minutes.

I paid $8 for my meal which was an average price for a food truck meal in NYC. Usually, when I eat at trucks I don't think I'm getting what I paid for but this time I did.

Their menu is very basic, you can chose from about 5 meals and 7 appetizers or sides. The shrimp roll and egg roll looked really good. They also serve Thai ice tea for only $2 which I intend on getting on my next visit.

This truck is on the corner of 46th and 6th right next to another cart that seems to be selling drinks and tacos.

They do not accept checks or credit card but nothing on the menu is over $9 so pocket change should be able to get you a nice delicious meal. When I took my food to work everyone at the office was raving about how great it smelled and delicious it looked.

    Def. A must try 🙂

  6. This cart is on 46th and 6th Ave

Have stopped by to try the $9 lunch special. Got the coconut rice and chicken cutlet with spicy green mayo.

Great food, even though it was simple.

The chicken was pretty decent sized and fried perfectly.

The sauce was served in a separate container.
The Green Curry Sauce is super delicious if you're a fan of spice.

The rice was delicious too and sticky. Tasted exactly like the sauce you get with a coconut shrimp dish.

Portion size was pretty good. You get a little less meat than a halal cart and a lot more rice. I also liked the reusable container they give you.

Have also tried the $8 Basil Chicken over Rice dish.
Chicken portion was a little less than before but had veggies mixed in. Taste was good.

Got the green Curry sauce on the side since its seriously addicting.
If you like spicy sauce definitely ask for some.

Also tried the $4 fried dumplings. Definitely seems like a good value for the price and they tasted pretty good… a bit like meatballs. I think I got about 6 of them.

Chicken Drunkman Noodles $8 – Pretty good portion. Noodles are tasty with a bit of a kick. Flavor is very unique and it has a good portion of cooked onions and peppers. Would have liked to seen more chicken though.

All in all this place seems pretty good.

I'd definitely recommend you skip the lunch special though and try a specialty noodle or curry dish instead since they're all the same price.

Edit: As of 1/28 it looks like they now charge $1 for a small container of mayo or green curry sauce
