  1. Came here for the Monday lobster dinner special, the food was tasty, I was not blown away by decor or service. But the food didn't disappoint and the service was solid.

    Good:
-Benefits Malibu Shore Club members who spend the whole day at the beach
-1.5 lbs lobster special for $18.95 on Mondays
-Lobster was very filling, and speaks for itself
-Lobster special includes: garden salad, half corn on a cob and roasted potatoes (you can substitute for coleslaw)
-Decent $5-$6 beer specials (e.g. Corona, Blue Moons, etc.)
-There are bands or DJs playing music on any given night
-Walk down and enjoy the beach that is not overly crowded after dinner

    Bad:
-I don't think the lobster special had enough roasted potatoes (5 small pieces)
-It's a long way to come for non Malibu Shore Club members to eat dinner
-I don't think Shore Club members pay for parking, non-members see below
-According to the signage: Town of Hempstead residents pay $10 to park
-Town of Hempstead non-residents apparently pay $25 to park…yikes.

  2. This is where the group of 11 wanted to go, so this is where we ended up on a Saturday night. Our group were men and women ages 36-46, started at the bar (wish they had one outside) drinks are good but not cheap, no surprise.  When the bar gets busy at night be prepared to wait 10 min.

Food was good, we had numerous appetizers on the table;  baked clams (9 small ones), calamari,  oysters,  crab, cold seafood salad and all were good, fresh again priced for the area. Dinners were again priced on the higher end all fish dinners came out perfect..tuna, catfish,  snapper but steaks on surf and turf plate had to be returned.  They came out with a foul odor, disgusting smell. The woman in charge was trying to pro – rate meal b/c lobster on the dish was half eaten??? No apology,  nothing offered,  finally she took it off the bill…shit 11 people,  over $600 bill and you don't offer the guy a drink at least.

Our waiter Jake was fantastic! !! He said it was his first day,  but it did not look like it, he was great.

Oh we did have reservations for 7pm and no problem sitting on time.

Now onto the music outside on a Saturday, not a place for a young group. ..50 + was the group and at 1030 the 70s music was over and the crowd left to go home to sleep I guess. This crowd consisted of bad hair pieces,  botched cosmetic surgery and one guy had a walker. Again not my type of music or crowd,  but this is where our ladies wanted to go.

The outside is also extremely small for this venue,  not sure why they did not make outside area larger with a bar.
