I have been here a few more times since my first review and continue to enjoy this place. Luckily I have not had the service problems others have commented on. I have had a few different paninis and salads and everything has been both tasty and very filling.
I came here for a company lunch, so it wasn't the usual sit down and order experience. We had the back room booked and the food came out buffet style. Now I am not a big fan of diner food, but the food was okay. We had chicken marsala, chicken stir fry, greek and caesar salad, rice, mixed vegetables, and dessert was strawberry shortcake cupcakes. Salad didn't seem too fresh, but overall everything was tasty enough that most people went to get seconds. The shortcake cupcake was weird though (it was essentially a muffin with strawberries and whipped cream). Nothing in particular stood out but nothing was bad either. Middle of the road for a diner.
Ehhhh…it's okay it's super packed nice that they have a full bar since most diners don't. The food lacks flavor I make better eggs at home….the portions are big…I got the gyro omelette with some flat burnt potatoes…hubs got the mannys skillet which is huge he enjoyed his burnt potatoes…. the waitress doesn't seem happy…overall would I come back? No.
Very happy to have a diner back in Clark. I took the hubby for Sunday breakfast, and although crowded we were seated right away. Seems like there are less seats than Windsor and not many booths, but it felt more comfortable. Service was OK but my coffee cup was caked in cheese (I think? Whatever the yellow sticky-looking substance was… ewwww). We both had Manny's amigo omelet and it was great. Overall, Manny's offers a pretty typical diner experience.
I'm sure we will return because of its location. We wish Manny's good luck!
Now this is a joisey diner! Fresh food, big portions, good prices. Quick service, attentive staff. Will def return.
I've been coming to this diner since I was a little kid and have seen it go through all it's management and name changes. Anyone remember the terrifying Windsor Diner hiatus and then horrible Johnny K's that came from it? Granted this place has always been family owned and managed – and even at its worst, it was still better than the Galaxy Diner in Rahway.
Manny's dinner is your typical NJ diner. It's nice and clean on the inside and serves breakfast all day. It carries all the standard diner staples and I'm rarely disappointed with anything I order. The only downside is that I have ordered the same thing (chicken and waffles) multiple times with different servers and have been charged differently each time.
