I was really impressed by the food & the service here. My bf and I decided to come here for dinner one night because it's really close to where we live.
This restaurant has a bar room when you first walk in, and also a more intimate dining area. The staff is really friendly and accomodating.
Food-wise, everything we tried was delicious. We started off with the tuna tartares for appetizers which had huge chunks of raw runa and avocado, & topped with eel sauce. This is just one my favorite things to order wherever I go so I was happy with it.
For dinner we had the pesto chicken and jumbo shrimp. Both were delicious and the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I ate most of my entree the next day because i was too full, and it still tasted pretty good.
We also ordered a pitcher of white sangria. This was super fruity with so much fruit in it (a little too much fruit if you ask me, and not enough wine), but nonetheless delicious.
I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions or even parties.
Food was excellent, but prices were pretty high. Wine list was extremely limited and not very affordable, so we got a pitcher of red sangria, which was probably the best sangria I've had in a while. Service was attentive.
This place. I had such high hopes. Let us star as I always do when I give reviews like this with the positives.
The place is put together well. There is a main dining area with a bar that could be a lively dining room. There are also smaller areas, at least one with a fireplace. That are more intimate.
This is where the positives end. Now the set up for the rest of the review is we were one of maybe five tables. The place was empty.
It took them 20 minutes to take our drink order. Then they took our appetizer order. The apps came out and we still did not have our drinks. Then we realized the drinks were sitting at the bar and ask for someone to retrieve them. Apps were pretty good though.
Then the entrees came out but they had not cleared the app plates so that was chaos. The entrees oh boy; one raw lamb, two raw fillets, my hen was great and one over cooked salmon.
Now here is where it gets funny. Sent just the lamb back and it cam back charred. Friggin cooks always do that. The rest of us just ate. Thank god we had some real carnivours with us.
So 1/2 hour goes by, dinner is almost done, no drinks. The drinks are sitting at the bar again and no one is paying attention. One of our waiters is standing at a counter writing something and we lean over and ask if she could get our drinks. She said, "yeah one minute and then went back to writing for a couple more minutes!" Are you kidding me???
She finally went to get our drinks and then we sat, with dirty plates in front of us, for another 20 minutes while people walked by us again and again and again. We finally pulled someone over and asked for the check.
Desert came with the meal but we did not have an hour to kill while these people tried to get their collective heads out of their asses.
This place had decent food if they could learn how to cook to temp. They need a front end manager soooo bad.
