Let me start by saying I don't like to write bad reviews, but with that being said, I must write this one. My experience going here was so bad that it needs to be shared.
I always loved eating here when the original owner, Maria, was running it. Unfortunately, she sold it some years ago after she got to old to continue. Since selling it I've had one bad experience after the other. The workers are rude, don't have any sense of urgency or customer service. The atmosphere as turned into a place that draws in loud and obnoxious people, no place to dine with your family.
The prices have gone up, and to top it off they charge extra for every add on (cheese, mayo, etc). Who charges extra for mayo? Well, Maria's Resturant does… When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the managers first reaction was to tell me how expensive things are in Manhattan. This store is located in ENY Brooklyn mind you, not Manhattan where I can expect higher prices. He then went on to say I don't have to take the food that I ordered, so to make a long story short, I took him up on his offer and walked out. I then went to Rico Chimi and got the same chicken sandwich for a little more than half the price.
Please heed my warning and don't patron this establishment, it has really gone downhill…
