  1. Went here for a dinner before a birthday celebration.  The food was ok.  The staff was very courteous and attentive.  The decor was nice.  I had the salmon and I felt the wine reduction used wasn't as reduced as it should be, therefore it tasted muttled.  My husband had a pasta and it ok, but nothing to write home about.  The appetizers were very good though- calamari and some kind of burrata dish.  We will give it another shot, just to try something different.

  2. This place is the tits.

My first encounter with this restaurant was a confusing Saturday afternoon where there was a blood drive sign outside, I walked all around and everyone was so nice and helpful and I was like why have I never eaten here before ?

    So today, we went.

    Everything was excellent, superb even.

Interior: well decorated crisp clean and nice lighting – excellent selection of music

    Appetizers:
Truffled burrata? Yes. Yaas. How can we combine so foods so perfect into one appetizer? Mario knows! Add heirloom tomatoes, figs and toasted pumpkin seeds

Zucchini flowers were so deliciously and perfectly fried they were truly delicious.

    Main Courses:
Artichoke ravioli, at first I ate one and I was like this is too artichokey. But then, I added the sauce, sautéed onions, and grape tomatoes to the bite and I was like ohhhh that's what's up.

Peppered pork with mushroom risotto, delicious flavorful and different.

Roasted cauliflower had just the perfect amount of kick to them.

Now, we came in at 10:15 on a Friday and our waiter could have totally been annoyed that we were there but he wasn't, he was truly lovely and even apologized for not filling our water glasses.

Mario's gets it right in every way, go.

  3. I was so excited to come to Mario's for dinner. He did such a wonderful job with his new restaurant and the food was incredible as always.  I loved all the decor and small touches throughout the restaurant. For a Friday night it was busy but not too loud. Our service was great from the hostess to the bartender and our server. We were a party of 5 so we decided to get a bunch of apps for the table. We ordered the Fried Pizzette, garden burrata, shrimp, artichoke wrapped in prosciutto, lobster mac and scallops. The lobster Mac, artichokes and scallops were my favorites but everything was delicious overall. For dinner, I got the beef barola (short ribs) it was cooked perfectly lots of flavor. The rest of the table got the rack of lamb, branzino and osso buco. I tried the lamb I'll definitely be getting that next time- so good! Everyone cleared their plate. We were pretty stuffed but obviously had to get dessert. So again, we got a few things for the table. Tiramisu, Napolean, canoli and tartufo. Pretty sure I left 10lbs heavier but totally worth it. Can't wait to come back!
