Fae Giraldo
This place can scare you depending on what time of the day you pass it. Roosevelt Ave breeds a special kind of person and you are sure to find some of the fruits of labor in this MCdonalds location. The line always moves fast and the staff has a look on their face like they have been through it all already. I usually get my food with zero hassle and I never eat here because of the crowd. It is one of the cleaner/newer Mcdonalds in the area and is my last option for fast food on my way home from wherever.
The evening crew is so slow, lazy and depressing. They gave me the look of I Don't want to Serve You.
There were almost no customers and they were moving like snails. Maybe they had a hard day? Their altiatude was "it is not my job."
One cashier who did not know how to take coupons. A cook that gets my order wrong, twice. A manager that does not see anything. It took them over 20 mins. for two burgers and fries.
(Food was ok)
I don't recommend that place to anyone. There is so much better food and service all along Roosevelt Ave.
This "express" location has been at this convenient Jackson Heights corner as long as I can remember. And.. as long as I remember, it is not a venue I would ever want to frequent.
The good: The staff churn orders out quickly! (Yay for being truly "express"!) It always amuses me to hear the expediter behind the counter yell out the mass McNugget orders. "Necesito quarrrennnntaaaa!!!"
The bad: This was one of the few locations ING Direct had its free-ATMS (also the Actor's Union 99cent ATMS). Unfortunately, the ATM is frequently in need of service and placed in a very public and insecure location facing both the lobby and the "out door sleeping area" created by some of its guests.
The ugly: The space here is cramped and the crowds can be ridiculous. This crowd generally ranges from the civil die-hard McD fans to junior high school students to Elmhurst Hospital's recently discharged "clients." It's a gamble every time you stroll in.
Need your fix but in a rush? By all means, swoop in. Want a classier fast food experience? Take a stroll down to 82nd Street to the ultra chic "Town House" McD.
Service here is okay. It's good to use the bathroom here if you're in the area and have nowhere else to go. However this is an "express" location so no ice cream or shakes.
