I'm glad that we gave this restaurant a shot even with 2.5 stars and the high prices.
I made a reservation for a Friday at 7:30pm that same day no problem. The restaurant is in a great location with a pretty good view of the NYC skyline. The staff was friendly and attentive (not as much towards the end because the place picked up so they were busy – totally understandable). We ordered two appetizers – the angry crab dip and crispy calamari, and two entrees – the bbq pulled pork and steak frites. My favorite were the dip and the calamari but over all everything was good. I had one of the cocktails on their menu (can't remember the name) and it was also good.
Not sure why it received so many negative reviews. Maybe we lucked out.
Staff was friendly. Food is barely average. There was a seriously intense infestation of fruit flies- INSIDE the restaurant. I wish we had access to citronella candles- the problem was so bad.
Expressed this to our server, and while he was nice- he could really care less. I pray I never have to go here again.
I really wanted to like here as this place has the prime location in Hoboken during the summer, the outdoor seating faces the Hudson river and has the Manhattan skyline view. The service was very good and they have a very good looking menu. However, it is all wasted when you have a kitchen that can not deliver good… or at least decent food.
Came here a few months ago on a Wednesday night, it was fairly empty. Sat at the outdoor, the waiter and waitress were super friendly, the service was great. Everything was perfect….except the food! We had a light dinner, ordered minestrone soup, tuna bits, fish and chips. Was told that the soup was vegetarian but it turned up with meat in it, the fish had no flavor and texture, it was one of the worst fish and chips I ever had. Sent back the fish and when it came back, it was still the same. The best part of the meal was their coleslaw, it was fresh, tasty and light.
The waiter and waitress were very good, very apologetic for the food, they seem to be used to complains about their food though, felt like they were not exactly surprised. The manager came out to apologize as well, I can't fight for their service.
I'd come back here for having drinks outdoor and enjoy the view of Manhattan skyline, but won't be ordering food, I don't think.
OMG…… Beautiful Resto overlooking the river with a perfect view of Manhattan. My Boo took me here for Valentine's Day and I was very pleased. The decor to the greeting at the door and to the live music playing in the background just made it a perfect night.
Our waitress was the BEST, Emolissa. She was professional and had a great sense of humor. She made our orders just as we asked for. For the record, I am the picky one. Anywho….. It was a perfect night.
Apps: Calamari w sweet Chilli sauce… really good (side bar-why do I always order calamari as an app… that has to change)
My entree: I had the pork chop dinner…. People that was the juiciest piece of pork chop that I have had. It was so tender the knife went right through it. It was topped with an apple cranberry sauce that made it even more delicious.
My Bob's entree: He loves steak…. He had the steak dinner… It was so good he kept saying dayum… lmaaaaaaaoooooooooooo.
And oh I almost forgot…. I ate all the meat on that pork chop only the bone was left… That's riiiiiiiiight and NO, I was not embarrased.. My Boo paid for it…… Therefore I ate for all his money worth! That is the way to do it my fellow yelpers.
Last but not least, the manager personally came to our table to ensure we were having a good time…. 5 thumbs up!

Based on the many, many prior negative Yelps, we went here with great trepidation. In fact, when I told my niece about the poor ratings, she was ready to change to another restaurant. I told her that it was OK to try this one anyway and that I was going to follow the advice of another Yelper and immediately announce myself to Caesar the manager to try to ensure good service.
We arrived and were pleasantly greeted by the hostess, checked in and when we asked for a table by the window, she asked us to wait while she made it up. When she came back, I asked if Caesar was there but was told he is no longer with the restaurant. Oh well, there goes that idea.
However, I am glad to report that we had a very enjoyable evening of good food and great service, particularly by our server Maria who was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable of both the food menu and the wine/cocktail list. In fact, everyone was nice. Maybe the new manager has reacted to the Yelp comments regarding inattentive and poor service. We experienced nothing like that.
The food was very good. The breadbasket with a very tasty dipping sauce was a great start. For appetizers, we shared the Tuna Bites and Lobster Flatbread. The tuna was very good although the Cajun seasonings tasted more like Asian-Indian seasonings. The flatbread at $18 was a little pricey for the portion but did taste good.
We ordered side Caesars (named for the prior manager perhaps) and they were excellent. For the main courses, two of us had BBQ Pulled Pork and the other two had the Stuffed Sole. The pork dish looked kind of blasé but tasted really good. The pork was in a sweet molasses or honey tasting sauce that I enjoyed and the whipped red bliss potatoes were delicious. My wife and niece both enjoyed their sole dish although I thought the portions looked a little small.
While the desserts looked good, we passed.
Many people were sitting at tables outside. We opted for the less crowded but air conditioned inside table. Nice views of the pier and more so of Manhattan.
By far one of the best places to eat in Hoboken,NJ. The best manager Cesar was amazing, made us feel comfortable. Had a surprise dinner there for my wife, and it went smoothly, the staff here are amazing, the customer service and the food is on point. If you're looking to spend some quality time with some loved ones, it's work the drive, it's definitely worth your time. Love this place. Ask for Cesar when you get there.
Newly discovered in my neighborhood. Decided to check out the desert and coffees. I loved everything about the Decour and ambience of this restaurant. All of the waitstaff and hostesses were very friendly and welcoming. There was a live performer Who was very entertaining and very talented.
We had delicious, cappuccinos and shared a carrot cake that was decadent, dripped in Caramell sauce garnished with homemade whipped cream.. The location is stellar, rght on Sinatra Boulevard with the New York skyline in clear glorious view. They have a patio outside but local ordinances prohibit you eating or drinking on the patio after 11 PM on on the weekends.but that wasn't really a problem as the interior of the restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass windows so you do not miss the beauty of the location.
I live in the building this place is located and did not try it out until they had a vodka tasting party for Deniros new vodka. I liked the appetizers they served and the drinks I got so tried them out for lunch. The place was dead at lunchtime as weather has turned cold and they seemed to be crowded when people could eat outside. Do not be scared off as they have a nice two course lunch deal. Food was good and my service was nice. Do not expect to be blown away but if looking for upscale place to quietly eat with friends this is one of the better options in the area.
