  1. 3.5 stars to Mega Bites for a mega cheap meal.  They serve up classic diner fare in a no frill's diner scene.  I had the california omelette (mushroom avocado & cheeeeeeese) with toast & coffee.  Satisfying post-historic-blizzard-snowpocalypse-nemo meal.

  2. I order breakfast from this diner at least once a week and dinner at least twice a month. Best diner in the area! I'm a bit of a snob about food quality so trust me when I say this place has good food. The customer service is always quick and painless over the phone and they deliver pretty fast as well. I've been a fan of this place for 3 years now and have pretty much no complaints, which is a big deal! Check out mega bites!

  3. In the food vacuum of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Mega Bites comes to save the day for good cheap eats.  Mind you, I said good, not great, after all this place is a diner.  I ordered a cheeseburger for $5.50, made it deluxe for $2.50 and for $8.00 you get a cheeseburger with fries, lettuce, tomatoes, onions all delivered to your door.  The burger was quite large, definitely home made patty with an extra large bun.  The burger was cooked well so that it remained juicy while being cooked all the way through.  Their patty however is certainly nothing special, literally just ground beef, no salt, pepper, or other seasonings here.  The french fries seemed like they were also homemade as they weren't of the frozen variety consistency.  The best part about Mega Bites is their delivery, I scheduled it for 12:00 pm and it came right on time.  This place is going to be a good standby place to order out for lunch for sure.

  4. How is this place not at least a 4 star average!?!

I want to go back to NY just to have breakfast here again. The food is fantastic! The service is friendly! The owners/cooks greet everyone like they are family! And the atmosphere is awesome! Perfect little diner in Brooklyn!

You walk in and just take a booth along the walls, a seat at the counter or a table in the center of the dining area. All seem like great spots to sit and eat while you watch a game on the TV or read the paper.

The pancakes were perfection – light and fluffy without being doughy. They make the best over-easy eggs with a runny yolk. Plus, I actually enjoyed the Lemon Meringue Pie – where I usually don't like meringue.

The servers don't miss a beat and are on top of taking care of the patrons. They are great with the families and the service is quick and efficient. Loved the waitresses here – on top of it!

With all that, we got a bunch of smoothies to-go and they were all amazing. The Ginseng Fling was phenomenal!! I want to have it shipped to me every week!

I love this place and will definitely be back on my next trip to NY! High Five!

  5. I've only ordered delivery from here, so I may need to revise my review once I go to the actual spot, but the place seems a-ok to me, so far anyways. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee. Nothing too exciting, but hey that's what I like for breakfast, bagels and coffee. My friend ordered eggs with corn beef hash, potatoes and an iced coffee, he said the food was good, but a bit cold and the potatoes needed some seasoning. The iced coffee was really good, much better than I expected actually. My only complaint is, man it took a long time for our delivery to arrive, a good hour and 20 minutes.
