Amazing sushi, super fast delivery and very reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend Mei sushi to anyone loving in the Fair Lawn area
The Story: One of our drivers decided to buy the whole office lunch. It was a wonderful gesture and I'm grateful for that! However, ….
Food: I've experienced better delivery sushi. First the rolls were falling apart when I picked it up. I didn't feel like the salmon rolls were fresh. We also got chicken teriyaki (made with white meat [mistake! mistake!]), salmon teriyaki (it was only okay) and yakitori (chicken was tough).
Price: I looked at the take out menu and the price is average for sushi.
Decor: do not know.
Service: do not know.
Parking & Finding the Place: do not know.
Additional Thoughts: There are better delivery sushi out there =(
Not a sushi eater but everyone eating with me seemed to enjoy theirs. I had chicken teriyaki and it was super fresh and cooked well. Nice size portion. Enough for a lunch for me.
I'll be back!
Not one of my favorites that's for sure. The place is quaint and quiet so lunch was peaceful. The staff was friendly and nice. However, the food, not good. My soup tasted like there was still soap in the bowl. The salad dressing was bland. The sushi quality is not good at all. It wasn't fishy tasting or anything like that but it had no flavor at all and was cut too large. I couldn't even finish it. Took it home so they wouldn't feel bad. So many better places closer to my house that I probably wouldn't return.
Some of the better sushi in town. Creative rolls, fresh and has the brown rice alternative. Love the gyoza too! Always has a lot of coupons in local newspapers and advertisements so be on the lookout.
Unforuntately, I typically only order take-out because one of their servers is extremely unpleasant and I'd rather not take the chance of running into her.
Read some of the not so good reviews here, I don't really agree with.
The place is cozy and clean, the service isn't too bad, even thought the servers don't know anything about sushi.
I ordered the Regular sashimi, it was $17.95, for 17 pieces, soup and salad, not bad.
The salmon, yellowtail and striped bass were extremely fresh, almost the freshest I've ever had. The tuna, was good but lacked in flavor.
Everyone else ordered some rolls and a chicken teriyaki. One complaint is that the rolls are extremely small for the price. Some items on the menu are a deal and some are not.
I wouldn't be opposed to trying this place again.
This place is amazing for both take out and dine in. It is BYOB. It may not be the fanciest place, but service is friendly and sushi is always fresh and amazing. Their prices are very reasonable. I don't get their kitchen entrees as often, but they are good as well. One of my favorite places!
A good place for quick sushi delivery or just casual sushi lunch/dinner. Not too packed on the weekends, and the service is pretty quick. Ordered chirashi and spicy rolls, both were pretty ok.
