So this restaurant just recently opened, and the $10 buffet sign instantly caught my eye. Seeing as how most of the buffets around are either $12-$14, depending on what day of the week you go, I was more than excited to try this place out.
So naturally as soon as I saw the price I ran in! The decor is outstanding! From the golden shimmering chandeliers on the ceiling to the floors and seating, everything was beautiful.
Sadly, the decor was the only good part about this restaurant. The buffet had about 6-8 items for you to choose from (which is average). Items such as chicken biriyani (which was WONDERFUL!), saag, channa dal, tandoori chicken, chicken & beef curry, bhindi and pakoras. Most of the items were really oily and they definitely sound better than they tasted. The only good thing in the buffet was the chicken biriyani, which I would solely pay $10 for. They also had a weird rule of how every person only got one naan with the buffet, and you would have to pay for more. However, the naan was so shitty, I barely wanted one..
Even though the staff was friendly, the service was horrible. We had to constantly tag them down for anything we needed. And most of them didn't seem to understand anything other than bangla (all the workers, along with the manager and all the customers here are Bengali), which made it hard for me to communicate with them.
If you want a solid $10 Indian buffet, please head over to Yaar. The food is good and you get unlimited naan with your buffet.
