  1. Tried the Big Deb which is basically vanilla ice cream squished between two oatmeal cookies. It's a good treat for a summer night, but otherwise, nothing really too special. I am down to try the other ice cream sandwiches like the Cinnamax, which they ran out of when I visited. Maybe then, I will taste something spectacular.

  2. It's located in the middle of the street: a hole in the wall. Tip: Look out for the sign they put on the street to help find it.

I tried the chocolate cookies + mint icecream. And it was A-OK. for $5, I didn't feel like it was a great bang for your buck dessert. Or maybe it was more that it didn't wow me. Breaking it down, the cookie was ok, then the icecream was ok.

For ~$6 you can get a much better ice cream cookie sandwich a few blocks down at the meatball shop. They have an amazing white chocolate chip cookie with mint icecream sandwich. You're welcome. ((if you are ordering that to go, no need to wait online. Go into the shop and straight to the cashier in the back))

  3. I kinda want ice cream sandwiches to be the new fad. But I also kinda don't. Cool story, right?

Came here for a quick try of the different ice cream sandwiches after dinner. They seemed very enticing from the outside. They had accidentally made too many crackly chocolate cookies, so they put out a batch of them for free. Not too shabby at all. I tried the Morticia (Crackly Chocolate Cookies + Malted Chocolate Rum Ice Cream), Classic (Chocolate Chip Walnut + Vanilla Ice Cream), and the Elvis (Peanut Butter Cookies + Banana Ice Cream). I think out of all of them, I liked the Morticia the most, although I couldn't quite taste the rum in the ice cream. Nonetheless, it's a good chocolate fix, and everything we had was pretty good.

I think the only downfall was that since everything was pre-packaged, it left the ice cream and the cookies very hard. However, after about 10 minutes, they were just the right consistency and chew. Yet, this could be very troublesome for those who are incredibly impatient when it comes to desserts, like myself.

Service was really friendly, and rang up the sandwiches quickly, without the awkward "tip me" moment. It's hard to justify needing to tip when they just pull the pre-made sandwiches out of the freezer and hand them to you. Yet, they were really nice and friendly, so who knows? The prices are decent at $5 per sandwich.

I still prefer Coolhaus, since their ice cream sandwiches are a bit bigger and a little tastier, but it's a good option in the area if you're tired of the same old Thai ice cream rolls, gelato, and frozen yogurt. Ha.

  4. Really good ice cream sandwiches. I just got the 'original' ice cream sandwich, which was chocolate chip walnut cookies and vanilla ice cream. It definitely didn't disappoint.

  5. We had the Morticia and it blew my mind how good it was. I would bathe in that chocolate rum ice cream if I could. Go there, get them all as I plan to do one day. You won't regret it.

  6. My friend and I stopped by this place after dinner. We shared the oatmeal sandwich and it was delicious. since we were full we decided to come back next time and order everything else. $5 for an ice cream sandwich isn't that bad since it's just so good.

  7. Yummy ice cream sandwiches!! If you like mint, get their thick mint. I only dropped a star because the cookie was crunchy while I like it softer so it's easier to bite into the sandwich! But if you like crunchy cookies, you'll love their ice cream sandwich ($7). I also wish they had different sizes of cookies. I was so full from dinner I couldn't enjoy an entire one!

  8. First time visit yesterday.  I had been under the impression was that Melt was a full bakery – but it is ice cream sandwiches only.  Great cookies and good ice cream.  All the sandwiches are pre-made so there is very little wait for service.  Gal behind the counter was nice enough. Space in front of the counter is small.
