I was in the mood for a Burrito, then remembered I have a Mexican restaurant right around the corner. I ordered a shrimp burrito (off menu item) and it was SO good!!!! They seasoned the shrimp PERFECTLY!
While I was there, they had a $5 off coupon through GrubHub so I grabbed one. I order again the following day but opted for delivery. I received my order within 35 minutes and it was pretty good. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars was because I made a request to add shrimps through the online system and they didn't make it that way…. It was just a plain veggie burrito. I wasn't charged extra, but I was hoping to have the same feel as the day before :'( .
I really enjoy the 3 salsas and chips that comes with every order.
I couldn't decide between 3 or 4 stars for this place…So I let their location push them up to 4. This place is great if you get off the 6 train just as your bus is pulling away from the stop, not to return for another hour. Or if you live in this area and want Mexican food (can we trade a few Italian joints for just a little more Mexican?)
Food is decent. Everything has been pretty fresh and tasty. Huge portions on most dishes too. My two main complaints are the chips always seem stale, and their mole chicken really just wasn't that good. I'd go for the easy stuff here, burritos, tacos, quesadillas…they do those things well.
Service is hit or miss…they are always nice, but the servers seem to get distracted very easily talking to each other behind the counter (clue, we can see you!)
Overall, it's an alright place that is definitely helped by a lack of competition.
Love Mexico Magico! I eat there every time I'm in the area. I've tried numerous dishes and all have been good, but I always find myself coming back to the chicken quesadilla. SO GOOD. I actually recommend any of their chicken dishes.
The staff is friendly, the food is great and prepared quickly, and the prices are reasonable. What more can you ask for?
its a Saturday and my friends called me to go have Mexican food. IM blah, but then decided to go anyways. Arrived at this little hole in the wall called meXico magico and was humm looks like a small grocery store, but that is just the front counter. The place is very small, about 8 tables, the decor is Bright, with sombreros on the lamps, and the typical mexican table cover. I was not hoping for much, since i have had almost every mexican food around + just arrived from mexico from a well needed vacation. Anyways we ordered the food, took a bit to come out and mind you only 3 tables were occupied, again i was humm not liking this, but since i was with friends and they had invited me, i was not gonna say SHHH_TTT. The nachos came in and the salsa, the nachos(tortilla chips) are great, looks like home made and they really taste fresh. the salsa was good but not like wow good. The guacamole looked delish and my friends devoured the plate. The food came and the presentation was excellent, the taste of food very good indeed, and prices were ok. 3 of us paid $70 for the 3 full meals + desert. you should try chimichangas for desert, you will love it. They also have fried ice cream and other delicious deserts.
Overall it deserves a 3.5 out of 5, since its way small and it took a while for the food to arrived (20 min). Food alone deserves a 4.0 (the salsa needed a kick or two to be great)
The "B" in the window almost scared me away, but I was in the mood for tacos so I gave it the 'ol try.
It has a nice atmosphere, it's small and has friendly service. The manager? Owner? was super talkative when I 1st got in. Maybe because I was their 1st customer of the day at 1pm!?
I was a bit worried because I was the only one eating during the lunch rush. But, I stayed and order the 3 chicken taco lunch special for $6.95.
The tacos are good, not the best I've ever had, but good. They were definitely made with love. They filled me up but I kept burping onions…lucky I had gum. For real.
Overall, Mexico Magico is more like a 3 and a half star spot. Would I be back? Maybe.
Just don't forget gum.
