This place is pretty much a hole in a wall type place. There's like 5 tables a booth seating along the wall.
I came here with boo boo and I ordered the chicken enchilada and shrimp soup. Boo Boo for the chicken buritto w/o beans.
I got the guava shake and boo boo got a mexican soda. The guy also hooked me up with a taste of horchata. I would have ordered that if I knew they served it. It was not too sweet and not too strong on the cinnamon.
Our food took really long to come out. The soup was loaded with shrimp and very flavor full. That could have been reason why out food took so long. We still enjoyed the food. I think there's only 1 server and 1 cook at this place.
This place is small so it might not be ideal for a first date spot. But, if you're in a mood for better than chipotle mexican food then I would come here.
CC accepted and if you feel fancy you can BYOB here.
Authentic Mexican food that tastes amazing. I arrived 10 minutes before closing but they still took my order and allowed me to sit down and eat my meal without any problem.
Don't let the lack of ambience of the restaurant scare you away. It's all about the food.
They weren't open when we tried to go here. Hours posted said they should have been open, sign on the door said they were supposed to be open, but they were closed. I feel bad, I wanted to try it.
The place is extremely simple and definitely not attractive to stay in – therefore, I'll won't be considering this in this review. The place is also hidden behind some other building, it took me a while to find it. The food, although, compensates.
Just had the best burrito ever. The Chorizo (Mexican sausage) is simply amazing. The meat was extremely juicy and well seasoned (not sure if it's a homemade sausage, but anyway, it's extremely good). And everything else was also really good, specially the sauces (sour cream, spicy and green).
Proper size and good pricing. Michelle's Mexican is a must see if you're around that area. Would love to see that place after some restoration – they deserve it.
If you find yourself at Hackensack hospital down the road and hospital food options have you down, you can call Michelle's and they deliver. How amazing is that! Five stars for that alone!
I ordered six tacos, two drinks, and chips and salsa. The salsa tasted like jarred salss but my bistec and chorizo tacos were plentifully filled and they included nopales and those delicious charred scallions. For $21, its a lot but I am in the burbs.
Only thing better would be if they included margaritas in their delivery menu but hey a girl can dream!
