  1. Millers is your average sports bar – with a lot of TVs and a long list of beers to choose from. They have some good deals and decent food options to accompany the drinks. The music is good and they're very spaced out. All in all – they're great apart from one thing. The service.

It's like they're doing you a favor by letting you come in here. I've seen people kicked out for just asking for a drink at the bar because the bartender thought they were too drunk. They weren't, and even if, and what do you expect? Aren't you selling drinks at a bar? On a separate occasion, a friend was asked to leave because he wore his pants too low [he wasn't]. The bartenders and servers don't seem to have any sense of urgency, and even though a lot of busy places seem to be this way, Millers seems to make an attempt to delay your orders. That being said, there are some servers who were very nice and cordial – but on several occasions it was very difficult to deal with. I'm not very picky with service but if it does bother me as much as this, it deserves a mention.

  2. the food is typical bar food, nothing spectacular.. but the price of everything is more than reasonable. also plenty of seating to accommodate larger groups. good for games and fights, though food wise not my first choice, but you definitely get the best bang for your buck!

  3. So I've been here a hundred times and I've never written a review.  I don't really know why because this is my go to local sports bar.  I guess it's just difficult for me to put a rating on it.  I don't love coming here because of the huge crowds, especially on the weekends, loud music and ok food but I do love coming here to watch games, chill with friends, and enjoy a good beer.

They have a great selection of beers on tap, including local beers and you can't find a lot of places in Paramus that do that.  The place itself is also huge!  Even though it gets really full and busy on the weekends, you aren't quite packed in like a sardine.  It's usually not difficult to get a drink at the bar.  This is a great place to meet up with some friends and have a relaxed night with a few drinks and decent food.

  4. Miller's Ale House is great for just hanging out and having a few drinks with friends in a sports bar environment without much of a care for the food. Of course they have all the typical bar food favorites (pizza, wings, guacamole, etc.), but the food really isn't too good. I'd recommend sticking with the most simple dishes to ensure its decent. I'd steer clear of the flatbread pizzas, it was just about the same as frozen pizza from the supermarket.

The outdoor patio area looked like a fun place to enjoy nice weather and a cold beer. I'd go back only for the drinks and just hanging around.

  5. Miller's is huge, with lots of bar stools, high top tables and booths. There are TVs lining the walls so you can catch your favorite sports team while you grab a bite and a drink. Atmosphere and ambiance are fine, and there is an outdoor seating area that would be nice to sit in during the spring and summer.

The food and drinks weren't great on a recent visit though. Our flatbread pizza was lukewarm and reminded us of a frozen pizza from a grocery store. I ordered a cocktail from their drink menu, that was supposed to be a rum fruit punch – when it arrived, it was simply rum and lime juice. I'd stick with bar basics and beer next time.

  6. Definitely a cool spot to watch football at. A little crowded which seemed confusing for the staff, there were a few times we were forgotten about. Great menu with plenty of options! I ordered chicken fingers and they were way too fried and the chicken was dry. Drinks were pretty good though. The outside patio is a fun spot to chill at. I would probably go back again, but this wouldn't be my first choice.

  7. I'd give the bar and atmosphere a 4 star review. Maybe even 5 star. It has a log cabin feel too it – nice and cozy with a fireplace too. It's spacious, although it does get crowded on the weekends.

The food, however, stinks. I ordered the grilled chicken and it was dry. The green beans that came with it were undercooked. On a separate occasion I ordered the NY Strip Steak and it lacked any type of seasoning. It was rather fatty too. Another time I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was dry and bland. (Not sure why I keep giving so many chances). The food rating, when ordering a "real meal", is about a 2. Their bar food is pretty good though! The zingers and loaded fries were really good! I'd like to try more junk food here.

I love coming here for drinks but not to eat. This is def the kind of place to meet up with friends, get your drink on and get some late night munchies.

  8. After years of hearing about Miller's, I finally went last Saturday night. When there was a UFC fight on. Very, very bad timing.

PACKED. TO. THE. BRIM. This place is humongous; there's rooms upon rooms of tables and bars. And yet, still packed. Good luck getting a drink because the human cushion around the bar is 5 people thick. Guess I'll stand in a random corner then…

Bergen county cesspool. If you grew up in the area, you're bound to bump into people you know. (I awkwardly avoided two different people I hadn't seen since high school and I was only there for 20 minutes.) Screw the UFC fight, I spent my time patron watching and thinking, "this place is so New Jersey."

First visit was a total turn off. But would I return? Maybe on a weekday when it's not bustling to the brim. Plus, they have a nice outdoor patio which might be a cool spot to hang in the coming months. Update? We'll see…
