One of my least favorite things about any establishment is arbitrary pricing. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. The posted price is $3.50. One man told the other to charge me $4. I pointed out the signage and they both nodded and said ok. Then the man with the card charged me $3.75. I asked why and he said taxes. Then he said he had to charge me for using the card. I haven't eaten the sandwich yet, but honestly it doesn't matter how good or bad it is. If I can't trust a place, I don't want to have anything to do with it.
I casually asked the worker what she recommend I eat. She recommended tostadas (#10 on the menu). I am so glad I asked because the dish turned out to be awesome. Imagine tacos but with a hard, crunchy flat corn shell topped with beans, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cream and cheese with your choice of meat (bistec, pollo, enchilada, chorizo, cecina, tinga). The cheese really fulfills the taste.
There a several diner-like tables to sit in and bar stools as well. Service is quick and their employees are very pleasant. Oh and their menu makes note of them having the best biscuits in the tri-state area. I will try them out.
