  1. I felt that it was pricey and they wouldn't give us the drink special, even though it was only two minutes after the happy hour ended. Perhaps if they had been more attentive, we would have made it in on time.

We ordered a ton of food. Everyone ate everything, but I wasn't blown away. I did think the specialty cocktails were delicious.

The bathrooms look like a kind of spaceship, but it's trendy and clean.

  2. Service on a Saturday night was really bad, water wasn't refilled once, our server just left us at the end of his shift wo even giving us our bill and after 15 mins of waiting for the damn bill, we were over charged on our credit cards. Food was hit or miss, entrees were mediocre at best (salmon teriyaki and Thai mango prawns) the Malaysian fried rice was one of the two things we enjoyed there, the other being the fried rock shrimp. No one at our table raved about any of their sushi rolls. Will not be returning.

  3. All the special sushi rolls we had were very good. Service was fast.

Happy hour half off drinks from 4pm-7pm. We ordered 2 drinks one tasted like they poured vodka and one tasted like juice. Looks like there was a bit of a mixup there.

I had the golden dragon roll. The mango pieces on top was  little too sweet for me.

Make sure to check the plates and utensils before you use it when you decide to sit outside. Ours were super dusty by the waitstaff were eager to switch it out for us.

  4. The food here is average fusion. Sushi is ok and their Thai is overpriced and small portions. I've been here about 10 times with friends and family just because they wanted to check it out. Prices has gone up steadily but quality hasn't. One thing bothered be was I was having drinks at the bar once and then moved to a table and was charged an extra $1 for drinks due to moving from the bar to the table, felt it was petty.

  5. I really like the decor of this place some of the tables have LED lighting underneath and turn the tables blue. I've been here a few times and always have had good service never wait too long for food and have exceeded my sushi standards.

yummy edamames and mini rolls which are stuffed with vegetables. I always have to get their avocado rolls just plain avocado and always an order of the tuna avocado rolls wrapped in brown rice. Always hits the spot just right and of course washed down with a glass of Riesling.

Their food is pretty inexpensive for Forest Hills so it totally works for me when I'm looking for a late night spot after an intense workout to feed my appetite.

There ladies facilities are very different, modern with a waterfall sink for washing your hands which I thought was pretty cool and different. The ladies stalls were spacious enough for New York bathroom standards. Clean enough not gross and give you the creeps like most New York City bathrooms. So kudos for thinking of us ladies and making a stylish bathroom.

This is a spot I will return too when I need to feed my sushi craving

  6. We were in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat we came across Moca & decided to give it a try.
Came in no problems being seated , once seated we started with some cocktails I tried the Pamitini plus we had a Sake not sure of the name (see pic)
Pamitini was very good nice taste with a good amount of alcohol, Sake was good.
Food we decided to go with a few appetizers Rock shrimp tempura , Thai crab cakes & Duck Tortilla.
Rock shrimp tempura was delicious , good size shrimp nice tasting sauce with the lemon miso & spicy mayo although didn't really find it to be spicy.
Thai crab cakes are interesting …in a good way don't taste like a "crab cake" does not bad tho good sauce.
Duck Tortilla another interesting dish very good tasting duck
Main meal we went with the Moca roll & Mango Chicken w brown rice.
Moca roll very good , there's a lot going on with this one shrimp , crab , Tuna all go well together nice combo.
The Mango chicken compare to everything else was ok , sauce tasted kinda watered down it Didn't have a lot of flavor. Brown rice ok.
As for the restaurant nice atmosphere , funky decor kinda feels like u are inside of a space ship lol very Art Deco.
Service was good , only real complain here is that when we ordered appetizers everything came out very quick had we not waited to order our main dish it would have been terrible.
Prices I'd say are decent everything we ordered was a nice portion good enough to share.
We enjoyed our meal I wouldn't mind returning from time to time.

  7. I just love this place. Quite unassuming from the outside and then the 1st set of doors open up and I can literally hear the angels sing.

I visited on a Fri at around 5:30. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The server came over and introduced himself and told ua about the specials. We chose the Lychee Martini specials. For entree we chose the Pineapple Rice with Raisins, Cucumbers and Cashews mixed in with Shrimp. Omg! Food porn. Def one of the most delectable meals I've had in a long while. For desert we went with the Green Tea Icecream with Tartofu, Chocolate and Whip Cream. Again, we were in heaven.

This place to me is a great place to dine with smaller groups or just a one-on-one dinner and dates. Sexy, Professional , Easy, Chic.

The decor is the perfect example of what Asian fusion is supposed to exemplify. It's not corny but very chic. On wall wine racks are discriminately placed. The chefs station is mid center in thr back and can be seen from the front.

The bar is to your left and does have a TV but it doesn't disturb or upset the theme. Everything is intentionally placed in a balanced way.

  8. MoCA has become one of my new favorite restaurants in Forest Hills even though it has been there for a while. The ambiance and decor are amazing, and makes it feel like as if it belongs in Meatpacking (without the large crowds and overpriced Asian food.) Some of the dishes are not the best, such as the Pad Thai (which is the reason MoCA is only getting 3 stars,) but their sushi and pineapple fried rice are great. They also apparently have good cocktails, and it's a fun place to celebrate a birthday.
