Whenever I am in Edison area running errands Moghul Express is my go to place for fast food. The service is pretty quick. There is something for everyone here, from south Indian to Pan-Asian. The flavors have been spot on with everything I have eaten.
The dosas here are pretty good and for the meat lovers the lamb keema masala dosa is a must. I love the samber that comes with the dosa, I wished they served more of it!
Everything I have had from the Pan-Asian menu has been amazing. My favorites include the noodles, drums of heaven, chicken coriander soup and vegetable manchurian. Other favorites are Chicken 65, it is spicy but so good.
Their mango lassi is pretty good. The masala chai is always nice on a cold day.
"Express" might be a slight exaggeration but they do make some great Indian food! The layout for dining in is a little off (cramped) but my husband ordered a Lamb dish which he devoured, and I also enjoyed my curry dish. I like this spot for a casual Indian meal.
This food here is extremely tasty. Then why only one star? Well, I have been here several times and I always order, and you could watch the "chefs" prepare the food behind the glass. However, I ordered food recently and it came out in under 2 minutes. Obviously not freshly cooked. I dont expect the sauces to be freshly made or anything, but the meat? come on…for that kind of thing, they need to charge McDonalds prices (to go with that pre-made food). How long had it been sitting there? I am already sketchy about ordering Indian food…it seems that many Indian restaurants dont maintain any real standards. Still…as disturbing as that was, I ate the food and it was excellent.
Casual, cafe style restaurant….Food is great. Place is clean…
i wish they had lunch specials, and included a naan with the meal, as the prices are a little higher than other casual restaurants on the strip.
But, i will gladly pay more for the clean space and the fresh flavors!
Good keema nan and chicken chettinad. Very reasonably priced entrees. Not sure why it is called "express" as it is not that fast. Simple, clean interior decor. Nice staff member.
Lots of Indian sweets on display. Wide menu of Chinese, Thai, Northern and Southern Indian dishes.
i am giving this place three stars cuz it is beyond weird how they stare at patrons while the patrons are eating..seriously? go do your job please.
that being said, the veggie hakka noodles are great as is the malai kofta.
service is actually super quick so i dont know what other reviewers are talking about.
i do think they are fairly stingy with condiments.
Got takeout food from here. I'm a big fan of their chicken dishes. The chicken hyderbadi was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. I also got some kind of drumsticks which I forgot the name, but they were the best drumsticks I ever had! The marinade they used had so much flavor and the drumstick also had the smokey flavor you get from grilling but without it being burnt. I don't know how they do it!
The malai kofta was very good as well, except i wasn't a fan of their koftas cause they were made from paneer. Stay away from the paneer tikka masala because it was so bland. Their naans were nice and soft exactly the way i like it.
They made everything quickly. The naan stayed hot by the time i got home because they use those thermal bags for them. Very smart. I'm a fan!
I really want to give this place 3 stars for sweets and 4 stars for food. Is there a way to do that?
The mithai, Chum chum was very dry. Not impressed.
Chili chicken- good, but wish there were as many chicken pieces as there were chilly pieces. Has lots of green pepper too. Taste is decent.
Hakka noodles and chicken manchurian – both good.
