  1. The Cheese appetizer was great, but the HUGE Chimichanga left a lot to be desired. Honestly, I would not return.

  2. Came here for lunch with a friend and we had no issue getting a seat as we were the first customers for lunch.

As for lunch, we ordered the carne a la mexicana and bisteck encebollado.  They gave us their own chips and dip and I thought the dip was just alright. A little watered down. Not much bold flavors and just mildly spicy. Not a lot of in depth flavors. Both dishes were alright. The bisteck was more colorful because it had different bell peppers and onions. The other dish just had onions. In both cases, the meat were thinly sliced and overcooked. As expected because of the thinness of the meats. Definitely a way to cut back on costs. It was seasoned well but chewy. In addition, they used a lot of oil on the meat and it didn't really help the dish at all. The sides they gave you were rice and beans. I didn't really like the beans, fairly bland. The rice was over salted.

Service was excellent. How could it not be? =P  Water level was well maintained.

Overall this is a decent restaurant but nothing to rave about.

  3. Pretty sweet spot. Guacamole was REALLY good… Loved their cucumber jalapeño margaritas. Pretty tasty. Quesadillas were pretty decent, very expensive for something not super difficult to make. Overall good time, good experience- service was excellent!

  4. The food is great. 4-5 stars for food alone. The only problem with this place are the prices. I highly recommend the grilled baja fish tacos (fantastic favor, dipping sauces of chipotle and mustard/wasabi are great and portion size is very good), elote asado(grilled corn with cheese and spice), black beans and guacamole. However, 12 bucks for guac, 7 for one piece of corn, 3 for a small plate (not bowl but small plate) of beans, and 22 for fish tacos is too pricey to be a place to frequent. It's a shame because the food is good, just not super high end good.

  5. Great atmosphere for dinner or drinks.  Went on a Saturday night  with a friend for dinner amd drinks.  like others have mentioned tables are close together, however you didn't feel on top of each other and it wasn't too loud either.

The drinks are great, mojito and frozen margs! The guacomole is great.  Ordered the chicken fajitas and chorizo quesidalla.  I highly recommend the quesidalla it was perfect and not alot of cheese.  The fajitas were a tad to salty for my likings.

If you are looking for a nice Mexican restaurant  with great drinks and food definitely stop in.

  6. Been here a handful of times and have mostly sat at the bar.
The bartender is quite personable (naturally he has to be) and the food is OK. The margaritas are pretty good and $10 for a regular margarita which isn't TOO bad in this neighborhood especially since it's a high quality margarita and not that crap the other "Mexican" place across the street sells. It's made with real lime juice (I saw the bartender squeeze it himself) and salted rims. YUM.
The guacamole is good too but honestly, too pricey. I believe it's like $12 for a guacamole chock full of tomato. Ehhh. I've only had the beef quesadilla (about $13) and it's a mess as it's semi-stewed beef so the juices begin to run as it makes your quesadilla soggy if left to sit for awhile. It's a bit salty but it was quite flavorful, which is something I always appreciate.
Overall this spot is OK. Not really a place I rush to give my money to as it can really add up. There isn't anything quite special about this restaurant, but I did like that they still played Salsa music despite that mostly gringos crowd this spot.

  7. The prices are fairly steep for the food.  The guacamole is great and the happy hour prices and food is pretty good but if you go any other time, be prepared to shell over a decent amount for mediocre food.

  8. When the outdoor seating is open, this place gets 4 stars. If not, it's just super ok. For the price you might as well go across the street to Noche de Margarita for cheaper and better Mexican food. It is a little bit more upscale than Noche, but not worth the price.
