  1. two guys I work with both live in Mamaroneck, and another one of our coworkers is the mayor of the Village of Mamaroneck…so of course I've swung by the area a few times. usually when heading up to – or coming back from – ventures further upstate.

it seems like a fairly decent Irish/sports pub. a bit upscale/yuppie-ish, but not in a bad way.

so far as food – I've only eaten here once. recently had the "Irish chicken curry", which was chicken, pineapple, sweet potato, and scallions in a not-too-spicy curry. portions were large, and I annihilated the entire dish. I prefer spicier curry, but this was still good. pineapples gave it a nice hint of sweetness.

prices are alright – about on par with prices you'll find in similar style pubs in NYC or Jersey. alcohol and food menus are HUGE, which is a big plus.

    service is usually fairly fast.

highly recommend getting a table on the back patio. best time to go is a Sunday afternoon. haven't made it to brunch here with my Mamaroneckian friends yet, but probably will soon!

  2. Great pub/restaurant with really nice friendly service.  We went there for the salads and wound up getting their soup and salad combo which was very good.  As were their waffle fries.  However, have to take stars off for the wasps that surrounded the patio area and the weird smell that was inside near the booths by the bar.

  3. Good atmosphere. Not the best Irish pub as Irish pubs go (thus the only three stars). But the Irish stew I had was Ok. The bourbon cask ale was excellent and I am glad the bartender suggested it.

  4. Have only come here during lunch so can't speak to evening events. A pretty typical pub/bar – if anything just larger.

Food is decent but haven't had anything here to jump for joy over. Service can be a little slow and I'm not sure why. It's packed for big events such as during St. Patty's Day (of course) and World Cup soccer (which isn't all that often anyway).

I so want to give this place better reviews because I think it has potential to be much better. The Spillane's I dined at in Mt. Vernon shows as much. This place has plenty of seating and even a back patio so it does have that going for it.

Parking on street is available and more plentiful than other venues on this strip of Mamaroneck Ave. since it's got side street parking too.

  5. Not a bad place. It's really a nice place for parties. Came here one time for drinks on a weekend night, it wasn't as bad. Mainly an older age group were there which was a bit disappointing but it wasn't bad at all. Drinks were decent price. Not a bad place. If you're around recommend coming for good food and drinks

  6. I was a little taken aback when my husband, son and I came in for a cpl drinks (for is adults) and a dessert (for my boy) before our afternoon movie. They actually asked my husband and I to give two forms of ID and then proceeded to man-handle my NYS ID…this ain't Ohio. I've never seen a passable fake NY ID.

  7. I have come here on several occasions ( tow of which were post funeral receptions). Nonetheless, it is a great place to have a drink, snack have an entire meal or all of the above. there is a generous seating area on the first floor, surrounding the lavish dark wood bar. thee is a beautiful patio in the rear on the first floor and sometimes they open up the front for outdoor seating as well. Several domestic and imported beers both in bottles and on tap. They have a great happy hour from 12-7 ($3 domestic pints) and a very nice bar menu. Upstairs are the private rooms, one of which has it's own private outdoor patio and bar.
The service is great, the food is tasty and well prepared, the beers are cold and plentiful and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
