This place was pretty damn good. My friend and I happened to walk past here and decided to stop in because we were craving sweets. We ended up with 3 cakes, all pretty amazing. The guy at the counter was really nice and was able to impart some advice on which cakes we should get.
1. Tres leches: Best I've had in New York. For $3. The texture of the cake itself was firm, the creamy sauce was sweet and full of flavor (and also sugar). As I was eating this on the subway, my eyes were rolling to the back of my head with every bite. The cake was pretty large too.
2. Chocolate cake – cheesecake with strawberry filling: We decided to get this because it was a pretty unique looking cake. The taste was also phenomenal. The different textures and tastes blended really well and it was so satisfying. The chocolate cake was moist, and the cheesecake was dense. Well done.
3. Oreo cake: Also amazing. Although not life changing like the tres leches, it was a solid oreo cake with a nice crunch.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this place. There are so many bakeries around these parts, but from what I got, I was super impressed.
