I came here on a quick lunch date with my husband. I will say that this place is A-OK the french onion soup was good and cheesy like I like it and the roast beef panini was just okay. It felt like it needed something else to add flavor, maybe mayo? The panini was served on pita bread and not even pressed.
This place didn't do it for me and to add insult to injury our lunch tab was a whopping $60 ish bucks (tip included) It just felt like for that amount we could've gone somewhere better.
I won't be back it was really under whelming.
Bland bland bland. Definitely will never be going back here.
My friend and I went in super hungry.. When you're super hungry, anything, I repeat anything, usually tastes like a gourmet dish. Still, the food here was so so so disappointing.
I highly recommend you to go elsewhere. Even a deli sandwich will taste better and cost way less.
Went here to grab a bite to eat for brunch on a weekend. The place was pretty crowded and busy around 1030am on a Saturday, but we were able to be seated right away.
For my meal, I decided to go with a pastrami and muenster cheese omelette and homefries with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.
The orange juice was great–very fresh and a bit of pulp. I could have gone for even more pulp, but it was very sweet and refreshing on a hot day.
The omelette was also decent, but didn't hit high marks for me. While there was plenty of meat and cheese in it, it was a little bit overcooked–which took away from the overall flavor. Also, the homefries were hardly homefries and more like lukewarm pieces of potato as they were cold and had absolutely no flavor. Nevertheless, the pricing here is decent and the service is friendly and efficient.
This little diner was pretty crowded when a group of 6 of us came in. We were lucky to grab a couple tables next to where another was also opening up, so after about 15 minutes (when the other table left) we had plenty of space.
The server was super friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately we had to remind him multiple times about certain things we'd ordered, but I'll chalk that up to the place being busy and I think he was serving a large portion of the restaurant.
A couple of us got the eggs with corned beef hash. I got homefries on the side with over easy eggs. It was really good. Nothing to crave later, but a good filling breakfast. Exactly what I wanted. I also got some grapefruit juice and would suggest people go for the smaller size. I was a bit hungover, but the large size (16oz I think) sounded smaller on the menu…but in reality that's a lot of juice.
I didn't pay much attention to what other people got, but one guy got an omelette with avocados and onions and it looked great. He goes there frequently and said he 'saves the carbs' for their corn muffins, which he had after the omelette. It was split in half and toasted with butter, looked pretty good. Another guy ordered one to go, so it may be worth checking those out.
All in all this is a solid little diner with friendly service and dependable food. Price for everyone was ~$100, so not too spendy.
Breakfast that hits the spot. We were quickly served and the food was good. Coffee could have been better.
They have grits here! And they were good! Somewhat chunky, but otherwise with a thick yet gritty consistency that almost made me forget I was north of the Mason Dixon Line. What a great find! I needed to add salt & butter, but so delightedly surprised to discover such tasty grits in Manhattan!
Service was attentive, as I typically drink a lot of water. Our coffees were continuously topped off. And, at no point did we ever feel rushed. We were offered two different open tables, our orders promptly taken, and our food swiftly brought. Great breakfast prices for Midtown, as well.
Came in on a whim, but clearly should've checked Yelp first. Slow slow slow. My turkey wrap was no better than I could've gotten in the pre-packaged section at Panera (probably worse actually…). My boyfriend ordered fries with a side of gravy— the gravy was practically water and it slid right off the fries.
I hadn't been here in a while and I was in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast. I was seated immediately and i got three eggs, bacon and rye toast. Instead of homefries, I could not get a fruit cup but instead got sliced tomato. The waitress was very helpful and the place was busy but she took my order in a timely fashion. The food was good, reasonably priced and I would return. There are several hotels in the area and there were tourists there so the place was packed.
