Looks like I visit them once a month, will need to increase my visits as I just love their food and service. They always offer you a hand roll at the end of your meal but while you wait to pick up your take out. Their special spicy tuna hand roll is fantastic, it has the right amount of kick. Everything is great, had the udon tonight and the crab avocado salad. Hmm is all I can say.
Came here for dinner and managed to get a table. The restaurant probably sits about 20 people and is BYOB.
For dinner, the hubby and I shared the sashimi and sushi for two platter. As others have mentioned, great, fresh fish. We also had the beef gyoza and it was delicious. Definitely think those are homemade.
At the end of our meal, we were given a complementary hand roll. HOME RUN! What a nice treat! Really enjoyed this place.
Pretty decent sushi place, especially considering that it's in the middle of Waldwick. They have decent sushi and good service, and have always gotten our orders right, but have never blown my mind. If you're picking up, they generally give you some sort of exotic handroll as well to munch on during your drive home.
Moshi Moshi is a GREAT sushi find for anyone in the area, and even outside of the area.
I just got back from dinner, and the quality of food was VERY HIGH. The setting is perfect — small and quaint, with maybe about 10 tables total. However, I can see how this can be a bad thing as it gets crowded quickly…but the intimate setting is awesome.
The salad with ginger dressing was absolutely delicious; very creamy and tasteful. The Shumai (stuffed dumpling/shrimp) appetizer was also delicious — hot and soft, as opposed to some places who serve it lukewarm or even cold.
The sushi: I ordered the Yellowtail roll and the Futo Maki roll. The Yellowtail was DELICIOUS — fresh as all hell. We ordered it with brown rice as opposed to white rice, and it had an awesome taste to it. The Futo Maki roll was egg, crab, and Japanese vegetable — had a sweet and tangy taste, which I loved. i gobbled up both rolls before you could say "MOSHI MOSHI" 5 TIMES FAST.
All and all, as I become more exposed to sushi, I'm beginning to be able to finally tell good from bad. Moshi Moshi is definitely one of the better sushi joints.
I have been to sushi places all over the area (even NYC and San Francisco) and nothing compares to Moshi Moshi. The spicy sauce is not just pink mayonnaise it is actually SPICY! Whenever I am in the area I make it a point to go and order something. My go-to rolls are the Pink Lady and Green River roll with spicy sauce on the side. I you ever wait for longer than three minutes they will most likely give you a free salmon hand roll which always takes the edge off me waiting in hunger. It is a BYOB place which is nice and they do have really good ice cream if you're in the mood. I suggest the red bean ice cream; it tastes like strawberry but better! The place is a little small and the tables fill up fast but it's definitely worth the wait.
Quiet place in a two store mini mall. Decent but not out of this world sushi (I have very high standards for sushi). Nice folks here. They often give you a complimentary salmon skin hand roll.
