I don't live in the neighborhood but whenever I'm in greenpoint I stop by. This place has the cheapest veggies I have ever seen (those displayed outside) with relative freshness. Inside the store is more normal priced veggies and products and a person making juices. A sample of the "cheap" products outside.
-box of organic strawberries 1.49 -3 bags of carrots for .99 -organic celery stalk .99 -5lb bag of potatoes .99 -2lb of onions .99 -Texas spinach bunches .99 -5 green peppers 1.00
Unbelievable. Definitely check out the veggies displayed outside of the store!
I moved to Greenpoint about a month ago, and, fridge empty, set out to find a way to fill it. I was fortunate enough to find this lovely gem, complete with bountiful, cheap fruit, and, even better, delicious smoothies.
Overall, the store is fairly small, with fruit, vegetables, some beer and other drinks, pasta, sauces, y'know, the basics. It has a little bit of everything you'd need – so no, there isn't all of the variety of a larger store, but it's small, it's cheaper, and the food is fresh and good. Been here several times, and no complaints. In fact, I'm thrilled that if you spend more than a certain amount ($25 or $30, I believe), you get a free smoothie. I've tried to pineapple ginger so far and haven't tried a single new thing because I love it so much. Would definitely recommend!

I love Mr. Berry!
It's a clean market with some very good deals, not only on fruits and vegetables. You can score some really decent deals on other random items.
I've never ordered from the juice bar but it is ALWAYS packed so that's a good sign.
Cashiers are friendly and produce is restocked often! This is a Greenpoint gem!
