Came here for the first time the other night. I was surprised by how nice it is inside. You wouldn't think its nice when you are walking up to it, but I feel like the inside has a really nice vibe to it. I came here on a Thursday night around 730 and it wasn't really packed. A few people at the bar and seemed to be a b-day party at one of the tables. There was a dj playing some great music, if you like hip-hop/dance music. The bartenders were very attentive and helpful. I definitely wanna come back here with a group of friends. I hope that the word spreads about this place because it definitely has potential.
Good service, great food. Been here a few times with friends and every time I come I am not disappointed. The Skirt Steak is DELICIOUS! The bar area can get really busy during football games but overall the place is not overly crowded.
Came here for dinner with my boyfriend recently. The place has a great setup, beautifully decorated. The only thing that could be nicer is the bathroom, but I feel that's more of the patrons fault then the establishment. They sat us on couches in a private area dimly lit, very romantic. There's loud music (a DJ) and tvs everywhere. The staff was so nice and helpful. They have a pool table, however we couldn't use it because after a certain hour, they lock up the balls lol I think that was a little odd, but maybe there's a reason for it. The food was DELICIOUS. I had the Crab Cakes and Teriyaki Burger. My boyfriend had Hot Wings & Chicken Tenders. Will definitely be going here again. Unfortunately, the place is still incredibly dead, so hopefully the word will get out to bring this place more deserved business.
I have wanted to try this place for a little while. I went down with a friend for dinner. As we came up to the restaurant the exterior was nice with a few lights out in their outdoor canopy. The interior of the restaurant has a very unique feel somewhere between lounge / tavern / Inn.
We were seated quickly as the restaurant was not busy at the time we went (around 6pm). We ordered some drinks and a nacho appetizer. The nachos were very good topped with chili. For my main course I had the salmon dish. It was well prepared and plated very nicely. I finished my meal with an apple tart with ice cream. All very delicious. I would say I am a fan of this restaurant.
Our waiter was polite and patient as I did take some time to decide on a drink. They were not able to make my first two drink choices. They didn't have Asberry puree and they didn't have cut up strawberries. Finally they were able to make me a drink that tasted very good. I also used the Yelp coupon for a discount and the staff had no issues using the coupon.
My friend planned to have dinner and drinks here for her birthday celebration on a Friday night with about twenty something people. She had called and told them there would be such a big group and they were fine with it. When we got there we were seated upstairs at a few tables and few big comfy purple couches to eat. We had one waiter named Jeremy, running around doing EVERYTHING. He was taking food and drink orders, being the runner along with being his own bus boy. That poor guy worked his ass off and was extremely apologetic. He deserves a raise for his hard work!!
I got the Wild Buffalo wrap and it was really good. The buffalo sauce was extra spicy but delish!! The fries were really good too!! I was drinking a Pine-a-Gash which is allagash, St. Germain and splash of pineapple juice. I recommend it. We were a big group which means a lot of orders and some people did not get their food for about two hours later. Let me just state that downstairs was not busy at all so I don't understand why they couldn't give Jeremy an extra hand but he still did awesome.
The manager did make up for the late food orders and poor service so that was definitely cool of them!!
The place is pretty awesome. A bar and tables downstairs with one pool table down there. Upstairs they have a good amount of couches and tables along with another pool table. The DJ came on and played a lot of Spanish music which was really bringing people to the dance floor to have a good time. They also have a VIP area upstairs behind the DJ but not sure how you become VIP. Haha.
Mr. G's is a bar, restaurant, club, lounge, sports bar all in one establishment. Many TVs around for sports lovers, pool tables and even hookah you can order. Even though it wasn't "packed" we brought the party and really enjoyed it. Thank you to management and Jeremy for hooking us up since they were short staffed and service was slow!!!!
We came here for a friend's Birthday on a Friday night. The place is very spacious and enjoyable ambiance. The style of this place can be described as old school/rustic with splashes of modern accents tossed around. It did have a touch of club vibes too. I loved the huge chandelier and plush purple couches. In a weird way everything just worked.
Downstairs there's a bar and when you look upstairs you can see more tables, couches and a pool table. Lots of us ordered food, drinks and hookah. I only tasted some fries and a bite of burger, but from what I had it was great and the menu looked yummy. I definitely want to come back here to eat.
I enjoyed the hookah and free pool. Service was excellent, albeit a tad slow. Our server was super pleasant and did his best to make sure everyone was having a great time. Overall a surpriseingly good place!
On Saturday night I went to a birthday party at this restaurant. I thought the place was nice. The location of the party I attended was on the 2nd floor and was overlooking the entire place. My husband and I got there before the valet arrived so we did not use the valet services.
Prior to the start of the party we had some drinks at the bar, and I had a spicy soup. I thought the soup was very good.
The service at the party was okay, a waiter was walking around taking drink orders and bring appetizers. There was only one waiter so I don't think he was doing a bad job.
The reason for 3 stars, was I felt the place had a 'young' feel, and it is more of club then a restaurant. I'm not really into the club scene, so I don't think I will be returning.
