Finally! finally have our own taste of west village here in the east. This place is cool, chilled and funky with fantastic coffee.
Difficult to see the signage from the same side of the street I've walked past it 20 times before I noticed it had opened.
One thing it's lacking is a vibe inside – maybe some music to hide how quiet it is? The name "Mr Mustache" sounds like it has personality but inside it's missing something. although it's a nice break from the world with an awesome set up at the back to chill, read or study…, I feel if this place wasn't so quiet it would feel a little more inviting.
New regular coffee spot either way for to go. Must try!
Grand opening! I've been waiting for this! I love their name, Mr. Mustache. It's so sophisticated in a cute way. I like mustaches but not real ones so, this is satisfying.
They specialize in coffee which I'd say is waaaay better than Starbucks. They don't have as many choices as Starbucks but I'd choose them over those diabetic drinks any day. Although I don't attend NYU, I think it's a great idea to have a cafe like this around campus. It's a nice place to relax and work on some studies. Not to mention there are outlets all around, and free wifi~
People here are friendly and aren't afraid to answer questions you may have. It is quite spacious and there are multiple seats throughout the cafe and even a comfortable yellow sofa!
I love the brick wall in the back and the little plants they have on the tables, windowsill, and shelves. The wooden pieces on the wall is also a nice touch. I'd definitely visit again.
