Mr Sushi
“Mr. Sushi offers an All-you-can-eat menu of classic and speciality rolls you will find nowhere else.”
“They do offer AYCE, but their lunch special of any 2 rolls for $6.95 or any 3 rolls for $9.25 is enough for me.”
“I love that you can BYOB and there is a liquor store just diagonally across the road!”

best sushi place i have been to. all you can eat for 23 dollars and the sushi is REALLY FREAKIN GOOD??? you can't beat that. i have been to ayce sushi places before and the sushi is generally just OK, generic stuff. This place offers awesome specialty rolls on their AYCE menu! I'm talking fun rolls with strawberry, mango, kiwi, banana, apple and all sorts of fried and sauced up. The giant, delicious rolls not the dinky rolls other places serve you.
Did I mention it's BYOB??
Never had a problem with the service. And every time I came here, I'd be seated in a very private, quiet area.
I love this place, best deal and best sushi!
This is one of the best sushi spots in NNJ. I highly recommend it to all. The Randy roll is amazing!! They also have $25 all you can eat that includes rolls. We eat here at least once a week. The menu is very extensive and priced right. You cant go wrong here!!
I've been here a couple times and each time the sushi has gotten worse and worse. It never tastes fresh and the whole place often smells like fish (I understand it's a sushi place and there's fish everywhere but no other sushi restaurant has a smell so potent)
Mr Sushi has great sushi. Every roll I've had from here (and I've been several times) is good. Last night I had the Tim Roll which was sweet potato, salmon and cream cheese…awesome combo. The reason for a 3 star rating instead of a 4 star rating is because of the service…it was absolutely horrendous. I am usually a pretty patient person but we were totally abandoned. Anytime we needed anything (including the check) we literally had to hunt the waitress down and even then it took them a long time to bring whatever it is we needed. I'll still be back because its close to my house and the special rolls are yummy…maybe I'll stick with pick up though!
This is probably one of the better sushi places in the area.
Every time I go to Mr. Sushi, it's always for the $22.99 all you can eat option. It's pretty worth it because you can literally choose rolls from the whole menu, including the specialty rolls. The ingredients are pretty fresh and the specialty rolls are great.
I definitely recommend Mr. Sushi. But if you can't eat that much, don't go for the buffet-style. Or don't cheat by not eating the rice. They reserve the option to charge you extra for wasting.
I tried this place next to Mr Tofu House, I was the only customer at 8:30pm, so I got the VIP treatment, I tried various Rolls, they were all good in the $23 AYCE menu.
Unpretentious place, good fresh roll for the price and very friendly service.I'll be back.
Anytime I hear the term "All you can eat" I cringe and automatically assume that the quality of food is tantamount to slop. However, Mr. Sushi's all you can eat special is an exception to my assumption.
Mr. Sushi's all you can eat special is only $23, and comes with a soup or a salad. The sushi menu is extensive and offers a variety of fish and non-fish options. The quality of fish is fresh, which is key! My favorite rolls were the sunrise roll (Peach, tuna and avocado) and the lobster roll. All of the rolls are tasty, beautifully prepared and fresh.
Mr. Sushi's decor is meh. The restaurant looks a little run down and is in need of an upgrade or two. The service is at par; but do not expect the wait staff to go above and beyond for you. In addition, service is a little slow.
Overall, if you are hankering for some raw fish definitely check out Mr. Sushi.
Purely based on service, I Would not recommend coming here. We came in this past Saturday evening and it took us almost two hours to go through two rounds of sushi. The sushi itself was pretty good, except for the small hair that we found in our ginger, but we tried to overlook that.
It appeared as though they were understaffed which is unfortunate for a weekend evening. The first round of sushi came out within 15-20 mins. Devoured that. And then ordered two more rolls. And those took at least 40 minutes, if not more, to come out. The waitress said it was because the one roll was deep fried, but honestly I think they just forgot.
Asked for the check and after waiting for 5-10 mins, the waitress came back and realized she forgot to give it to us.
Needless to say we would not be coming back. Seems to be Plenty of sushi places in the area, so you may want to give another place a try.
