  1. Kind of boring. Bartender couldn't be bothered.  Don't think I'll return.

  2. We came at 3 on a Sunday when it was empty.  To begin we ordered ten wings with two different sauces.  She made us pay $2 more to get two sauces because she said we had to order two orders of five wings. One of the sauces we ordered was honey BBQ, but it tasted and looked like sweet and sour.  Also, our cold wings came after our wraps.  One of the wraps we ordered was buffalo chicken wrap.  It had a lot of vegetables, like corn, but didn't resemble a buffalo chicken wrap.  It had blue cheese on the side.  I ordered a Greek wrap.  It was good.  We both agreed that the fries were our favorite part.  Also, my soda had a big red glob in it that we couldn't identify.  She did replace the soda but kept it on the bill.  With so many options to dine, we don't plan to return.

  3. Service here was painfully slow. We were attended to by two waitresses, one who was nice and eager, but would disappear for long stretches of time, and the other who looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but working at Mudville 9. I'm not kidding when I say that the only time I felt they were attentive was to deliver the check and to collect the payment/tip.

With regards to the food, the smokey barbecue wings were very good and my favorite part of the meal. The IronMan burger was very middle of the road and the pulled pork was tender and juicy. All in all, while I don't know the food options too well in that area, I would imagine there are much better options to dine at, if only for the quality of the service.

  4. Eeeeh I guess for the neighborhood this is better than I am rating it but this place is just too damn expensive not to ding a few points. Came here for a bunch of people to grab some drinks after work. We had a few rounds and it was $200. I didn't see an itemized receipt but we were drinking shit beer and well shots and drinks. And not too many. Drinks were also really watery and very small – I was not the only one in my party to notice or complain.

  5. This is not my favorite place to eat in the city.  The food is only meh and so is the service.

The last time I went there, they managed to piss me and my entire party off.  My friend had his birthday planned for weeks there and we were just coming in before heading to the bars and this place guaranteed us a table for our party of 10.  Well when we came in, they said they had booked the restaurant for a 40th birthday party, one they booked last minute a day or two before.  No one called us to tell us that they were going to do this, they just did it and were going to give us the shaft.  We said we would only be an hour or less and we wanted to join in on their wings promotion.  They said we couldn't do the wings promotion because they had the party after.  We fought them for a good 15 minutes until they allowed us to eat there, under the promotion, and only gave us less than 45 minutes to eat and get out so that the other party could come in.  They then had the audacity to charge us for small things that are supposed to come for free, like a lemon slice for our water, etc.   My feeling is, you guys screwed up and needed to accommodate us better; we want lemon in our water, don't charge us!  We want the special that you promised us, then you need to give it to us without complaint.

  6. Open until very late, available on seamless!
Solid wings and cheese nachos (4.5/5).
Various fantastic flavors: buffalo mild/medium/wow (very spicy)/ super wow (very very spicy)/BBQ/bourbon and bacon/Jamaican jerk/honey mustard/mango habanero and etc…
    Bones/boneless
Wings favor: 4.5/5, meat quality: 4/5; presentation: 3.5/5.

One of my favorite spot for wings in FiDi.

  7. Wide array of beer & wings!  Mudville is a great spot to catch a game or just catch up with some friends, as the energy is that of a sports bar with LOUD ASS music.  The last time i was here, there was a three page long menu of beers for Oktoberfest and i enjoyed a few IPAs (dont mind if i do)!  They often feature harder to find brews.  When i was in New Orleans earlier this year, i fell in love with Abita's Andygator which is locally made.  Mudville actually had an Abita gator brew; although a darker version of my light delight, i was very happy to see it being featured.

As i love to eat spicy, i always opt for the most intense level of heat (Super WOW).  The wings and bites are not doused in sauce by any means, so i also always order some extra on the side.  If you are not into the mouth-on-fire-smell-it-coming-out-of-your-pores-the-next-day type of heat, there are alot of other yummy options.  While there are multiple levels of buffalo sauce, Mudville also offers 2 renditions of BBQ, a Jamaican Jerk, Sweet & Sour and a Thai flavor.

Aaaand if you are not into wings at all, there are also lots of other satisfying dishes available on the menu.  The chili is awesome & super thick-perfect in the winter.

Service is good, not great; kind of have to hunt the waitress down.

  8. The food at Mudville is very good and I give the chefs 4 stars!! however my waitress for the evening could use a little help. I try to avoid racial disparity on yelp as much as possible because I regularly encounter, know and love some really great people! But then there's that one… Ugghhh. I watched my waitress Meagan approach every table around me, including the ones that sat after my table. I find it quite interesting that one week I can be the only African American person in my group and our service was great, fast forward to when there are no white people in my group and the service is shitty.

I must say it was a different waitress but in business you take ownership for everyone's actions. Training needs to be had on customer service for dealing with people of different backgrounds. Ummm Hello it's NYC – one of the most diverse place in the world get it together.

I may be black but my money is green and I'll spend it where it's welcome.
