Murray Hill Market

“Midtown is notorious for overpriced everything but MHM not only has low price breakfast sandwiches but doesn't skimp on the actual food.”

“I get the pesto chicken, mozz, sundried tomatoe wrap a lot and the egg white omellette platter with cheese, broccoli (comes with home fries and toast) for just $3.75!?!?”

“It gets pretty busy during lunchtime but since I work in the area, I phone ahead so that they have my order ready and I just pay for it when I get there.”

  1. It's a deli-market in New York. Nothing special, but it has what you need. Bagels, sandwiches and coffee were all good. Friendly staff, and quick service. If it's close to you, it'll do the trick. But I wouldn't make a trek out of coming here…

  2. I used to work at Stern College for a couple of years, so I was quite a regular for that duration of time.  Maybe this is the level of average deli place in NYC, but this place was good!  I usually got the reuben, but other things were pretty good.  You could also customize your sandwich, so you could tweak your lunch once in a while too.  I would definitely recommend this place if you live/work around it.

  3. This is my go-to weekend takeout brunch spot! The prices are reasonable for my standby egg and cheese. The food is always hot and tasty. The iced coffee selection is great too. This spot also has great snacks ranging from the more high brow variety to the standard stuff. Beautiful flowers too.

  4. I really like deli sandwiches especially bologna sandwiches. Found this gem, around ~$6 for a sandwich (made to order). They have tons of other stuff to eat that I would def try since I'm frequently in this area.

They sell a bunch of other stuff like a bodega would. Prices are high but expected. It's a great corner deli if you're looking to pick up some food really quick.

They take card for purchases over $5!

  5. I actually used to stop by quite a bit to pick up flowers at the Murray Hill Market. They always had a great selection of fresh ones at very fair prices, some bouquets starting at $5.

  6. A friend and I stopped in here really really really late last night / this morning — we got a six pack of Leinenkugel Berry Weisse (yuck, but I wanted to try something new), a six pack of Heinekin, and a couple sandwiches… The space is clean and well-organized, the service was super friendly, the beers were ice-cold and the food was alright… I've been here before and I'll definitely be back at some point.

  7. Adorable Market near my sister's house. We stopped by to pick up some fresh flowers for her roommate just to thank the both of them for their hospitality. We stayed with them over the weekend plus a few days. We were super appreciative! We walked by and the flower stand outside was extremely appealing. They had a large variety! We were able to pick up a small bouquet for $5! What a steal. It wasn't like the most beautiful bunch in the bunch, but we genuinely thought it was a good deal! Pick up the bouquet and pay inside. Again it seemed like a lunch rush so the lines were kind of lengthy but people were moving fast. That's the NY way! Plenty of snacks and local groceries inside! Great if you live nearby!

  8. A little pricey but they do have some international candy like Lion and Bounty bars (Bounty bars are basically Almond Joys without the Almonds).  Spacious area & they do have create your own salad here.
