  1. We had a corporate event here tonight and everyone had fun cooking!

    There is a tiny bar serving drinks (beers/wines) during the whole cooking competition. The other end of the loft was two tables for preparing the food. We split up as two teams (~10 ppl per team) as competitors both in terms of speed and flavor. Each team operated under a chef who taught us how to cut onions/garlic/potatoes and etc. Our cooking materials were set but team members voted for how to cook them. The whole process was very interactive and the dishes were hands-on easy to learn ones. In the end, we sat down and had a big dinner. The dishes were split between two teams. Additionally, a dessert is also served. After dinner, they also gave us coupons to win two final prizes (cooking tools).

    Overall, it was very fun and interactive. It's a good team building event as well as a first step towards learning some basic dishes. I would recommend this place for others for team building events.

  2. I was skeptical, but ultimately this is a great idea if you need a good corporate event option. They keep the cooking simple and the wine flowing. Recommended.

  3. I feel bad that it has taken me so long to write a review for this place (over a year) but hey better late than never! As much as I loved coming here, I don't' think I completely appreciated it until I (unfortunately) attended a different venue for a cooking event yesterday.

    Every year, through work, we have a cooking party with around 50 people. We do this for the new hires joining the youngest analyst class so that they can meet their mentors. So I think that's important to note because yes we do want to learn how to cook, but the social aspect is the key component for success.

    When we arrived, you were greeted right away by a huge selection of hors d'ouerves as well as pitches of sangria and wine. They were not stingy at all with drinks and the starters were interesting and enjoyable. I have a great picture from here that has me holding a flame torch because I guess my job for the day was browning the meringue. The food itself was extremely enjoyable as well. Honestly, I can't recall all of the exact food that we cooked, but I do remember making wonderful half-moon raviolis in two flavors.  

    I really enjoyed the fact that we were able to help with the cooking but when we actually had the meal we felt like we were at a restaurant so there was a great social element as well. It's a truly gorgeous space, and I recommend it to anyone doing any sort of corporate event and even a high end one. This would also be an awesome bridal shower place as well.

Wine, hors d'oeuvres, and a mix tape off an iPhone started the night – big enough to do a little speech with seating on the side, then on to the game where they have you make two appetizers for the "judges", with a point for speed and six to twelve "mystery" ingredients that were similar to each other's tables. A mini-chopped, except a lot of corporate people playing around with knives, talking, and over wine. A fun way for people to spend an evening. The helper chefs on each table are great, with different tips and more, but don't really let you go wild with the ideas, they're pretty conservative in the food choices mostly due to unprepared people that normally don't cook running all around.

    Still, an interesting way to spend a night, but definitely not for those who've cooked before. More fun as a group activity amongst people that aren't too competitive.

  5. We had a corporate event here the other night and everyone agreed just how much fun this was!

    We walked in and champagne/wine greeted us at a small bar area. One side of the beautiful loft is a well-equipped kitchen with 3 island kitchens set up for stations (salad, ravioli, and dessert sections for our night). The other side is one long banquet table with silverware and tablecloth.  Hor d'oeuvre's were served: eggrolls, bacon-wrapped dates, sesame-crusted tuna, etc.

    The cooking started with a few short demos from one of the chefs on how to use the knife, pasta press and ravioli cutter. Then we were broken up into three groups by the island stations: salad, ravioli, and apple tart. I was going to make dessert but the salad station needed more hands.  Everyone was free to move between the stations but I honestly had so much to do at the salad station that I forgot to check out the other stations. The chefs taught us a few kitchen tricks and helped us to make a killer salad: apples, candied walnuts, spinach, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, made-from-scratch balsamic vinaigrette, and more.

    The ravioli and dessert were cooked/baked by the time the salad team had plated the salads. We went to sit down and those with their special food requests got their prepared gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan options whereas the rest of the people got served what the party prepared. (I'm sure they made additional ravioli that they had prepared beforehand.)

    We had to clear out by 9pm sharp for the 3 hour event. Overall, I really loved their party execution, the venue layout, and the food!
