Ask which slices are freshest. Make sure they do not over heat/crisp.
Great fresh ingredients and flavors. Friendly service.
There a 3 seats so this is a grab and go pizza place at best.
The pizza here is really cheap and really delicious. Skip those sketchy 99 cent pizza joints and come to this hole-in-the-wall instead. I ordered 2 "slices" which turned out to be 4 square slices of pizza for less than $10. It also turned out to be far too much food for lunch, so I'd recommend just ordering one slice if you don't want to be in a deep food coma after.
I tried the truffle oil & mushroom and the Italian sausage. The truffle oil & mushroom has a subtle truffle flavor and lots and lots of mushrooms, so it's awesome for the mushroom fans! The Italian sausage unexpectedly tasted and looked like ham.
There are also a ton of other delicious sounding options, like buffalo chicken, prosciutto, spinach and artichoke, etc. etc, so there should be something for everyone. If you're looking for a heavier lunch, definitely keep this on the radar!
A little disappointing because I was expecting more from its high reviews on Yelp. The staff was really nice though.
You can only split a medium size with 2 diff pizza choices. So we got 3 slices instead of the 4 in a medium to be able to try different ones. Chicken Alfredo – super dry. Grandma nomina – better but eh. Truffle and mushroom – my fave out of the 3. But overall food was dry and a little too tough to eat.
Space is small. Very minimal seating.
The Grandma is a nice tasting pizza but nothing mindblowing. Good quality ingredients with a light and crispy crust. Seriously pricey compared to other NYC pizza joints. The tourists really seem to love it and don't mind the premium.
When I'm in NYC I normally go to Joe's to satisfy my pizza cravings but today I didn't have the time to make the trek downtown. I opted for My Pie on Lexington Ave in midtown and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was different, square pizza with a thin crust and very little oil (grease). The sauce was sweet and tasty and the various toppings all looked good. I had a slice (the slices are rather large) of the grandma's pizza and a slice of the margarita. They were very similar and both were good. I wouldn't put this in the top tier of pizza places in NYC but if you're in the area and looking for something cheap, fast, and a little different than I recommend My Pie.
If you want a quick, casual bite, this place is perfect. The slices of pizza are decently big and there are many topping options. The ingredients are also pretty good quality. I got a slice with standard cheese, mushrooms, spinach, onions, feta and tomatoes. It was flavorful and satisfying. I also tried a bite of a slice with tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil. It was a tad too salty for my taste, but still good. If you're wanting to sit down, keep in mind that there are only 4 bar stools.
The Grandma pizza was amazing! The sauce is made of real tomatoes smashed! Excellent mozzarella cheese and lots of it. The crust is thin and really light and crunchy! Perfect.
Only a few stools to sit on. It would be a 5 if there were real tables!
But the flavor – which is the food, is a 5!
I wish i knew that the slices were two boxes instead of one! I ordered an extra one. Loved the restaurant. Very nicely prices and good service
