  1. I love nachos and I love tacos. This place was an easy choice for a night out with a friend.

The Halloween decorations gave this place a cozy, comfortable feel and they had two tvs playing the Mets when we got there. A large group in the back was having a party that involved pumpkin carving. It was casual and fun and not too noisy.

The waitress was an absolute sweetheart and very attentive. She brought us free chips and salsa (I'm a sucker for this) and a bottle of water to start. I ordered the steak burrito ($9) with sour cream ($1) and guacamole ($1). The burrito was massive. And when I say massive, I mean it. Much larger than your typical Chipotle burrito and chock full of flavorful steak, black beans, spanish rice, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and guac. It was fantastic. So so good.

My friend has a steak and a chicken taco which were full of meat and looked fantastic. She loved the flavor of both the meats and was very impressed. The tacos were about $3 each.

At the end of our meal the owner came around and gave us free shots of tequila and invited us to judge the nearby party's pumpkin carving contest. It was great.

If you want large portions, fantastic food, and a cozy eating area, check out Nacho Macho Taco, you won't be disappointed.

  2. I had the portabella bowl, and it was very good. Spanish rice is alright – could stand for it to be a tad more flavorful, and it felt microwaved (especially since the cheese was melted up against the side of the bowl, which I wasn't the biggest fan of). The mushroom was completely fresh and delicious – the best part of the meal. Pico was alright (tomatoes and onions too big for my taste), cheese pretty average, and romaine lettuce was great. Chips and salsa were great, aside from the salsa being a bit cold, the taste was perfect. BYOB is a plus! Great place, nice staff, good, warm feeling in the room. I will be back!

  3. I came here with my boyfriend after craving Mexican food and wanting to try something new. We came here based on the Yelp reviews. The chips tasted like plain Doritos, nothing special about them. I wouldn't pay extra for them. I got the chicken burrito. It was very flavorful but I ended up picking all the chicken out. It wasn't tasting right to me and I was afraid if I ate it it would not be a good outcome. If I ever do come back I'll get the bean burrito.

  4. Below average Mexican food. My wife took me here after she had delicious salsa verde enchiladas about 6 months ago. This time the enchiladas were terrible. They were slathered in cheddar cheese and had almost no salsa verde sauce. My wife pointed this out to the server, who brought the sauce but it was the worst salsa verde I've ever tasted, really acidic and sour. My chicken mole burrito was really bland and the chicken in both dishes was dry and tough. The chips and salsa were ok but even the guacamole was just mashed avocado with tomato with no flavor at all. Even the horchata tasted watered down to round out our disappointing lunch.

The only good thing was that our server noticed that we didn't eat much of our plates and asked why. When my wife explained how she had had much better food there months ago, the server said she thought there had been a change of chefs a while back. Well they should do whatever they can to get the old chef back because their current chef "no sabe lo que hace." The server did try to make things right by taking the enchiladas off our bill but even then I don't see why we would come here again.

  5. One of the better, faster, cheaper Mexican places in the neighborhood. Came here for lunch yesterday and had a quesadilla. It was very good. Just cheese. You KNOW a place is DOIN IT RIGHT when they have BOTH CHOLULA and TAPATIO on EACH TABLE. (Those are my two favs.) Service was friendly. Food was delicious. Five bucks-ish.

  6. I love Mexican food like I love my kids. Stumbled upon this place after an event, we were hungry and took to Yelp to find a good spot to eat. The reviews did not lie, it was awesome.
It was just three of us an hour before closing we were seated immediately and the place was not crowded at all. Our server was friendly answering our 2 million questions. The cane over with our complimentary chips and salsa as well as hibiscus water (never had it before but my was it tasty). I ordered the grilled chicken burrito bowl, the other two did an assortment of tacos with rice and beans. Delicious, rice and beans were flavorful and covered in stretchy, melty cheese…OMG. My burrito bowl was delicious as well I opted to add sour cream for .75 and another round of chips and salsa for $1.00 to eat with it.

We left vey satisfied. Our bill came to 50.00 even, including the drinks we ordered. Wish I lived closer because I am a fan and would frequent this place.

  7. Came here on a whim after visiting the Brooklyn museum for First Saturday. Our group consisted of seven people and we were potentially expecting three more. The Macho crew quickly set up the space so we could all for there. The food was delicious, the music was upbeat, and our waitress was friendly.

We ordered quesadillas (the Macho one with the rice and beans is clutch!), burrito bowls, tacos, drinks (nonalcoholic, they don't serve alcohol but it is BYOB) and I had the Macho nachos (of course). We also had sides of guacamole and such and everything was good. My friend's quesadilla was cold and they remade it with the guacamole and sour cream on the side (the reason it was cold according to one of the waiters, perhaps a bit questionable but hey, they made her a new one and that one was poppin').

We ended up splitting the bill on multiple cards and cash and there was a little mix up but it was quickly resolved and we left full and happy!

Will definitely return! Oh yes, and the best part? Super reasonably priced! We all ate for under $10.

  8. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Get the Nachos! The Nachos are the greatest! Chips always arrive crunchy!

As are the burrito bowls and fish tacos! SO much food and it's such great quality! They always deliver under twenty minutes and even though my apartment is not technically in their zone they still deliver to me if I just order over the phone.
Employees are always nice, food is always delicious and arrives hot! Such a great price and you get SO much food!

I order from here at least once a week. Not a joke.
