  1. This place must have really been something back in 1992. Doesn't seen like much has been updated there since.

Food was generally average for what you would expect from an Indian buffet dinner. The goat vindaloo was tasty, but filled with so many bones that you really had to eat with caution.

The really bad part of this place is valet parking was required for the private event we were there for. There was literally one person fetching cars, and we found ourselves waiting half an hour to get our car at the end of the night. If you are going to force your customers to use valet, have enough people working so that it doesn't become an inconvenience.

  2. Decent lunch buffet for a low price, everything made well, no complaints.,

  3. We ordered food from another Indian place and waited for 2 hours and the food never came.  So me and my wife were still in the mood for Indian food so we drive here to eat dinner.  When we walked in it was late and they told us they were about to close but would take us.  We decided to then just order to go and the waiter was nice enough to give us two cups of soda on the house while we waited.  Orders the chicken tikke masala and the grilled chicken and an appetizer I can't remember the name of.  Needless to say the food was excellent and we had enough food for the next day.  When you come to the place and use the Yelp app you get a free dessert tell them you want the round balls dipped in sugar super awesome

  4. Funny…I'm writing this review and my husband JUST brought home the Tandoori Lamb Chops I was offered on the house for a pick-up order mistake.  My in-laws came over for a visit and we ordered take out from Neha.  The delivery guy wasn't available so I had to pick up the order myself.  A couple days before, my husband, son and I had already had a really great meal at Neha.  It was pretty empty in the dining area but the food did not disappoint.  South Indian cuisine on the pricey side but well worth it.

What we tried: Lamb Kebabs…yums! Mango Shrimp…yums! Tandoori Prawns…yums! Lamb Vindaloo, Shrimp Bhuna and Ckicken Tikka…GREAT!  The food is really good.  The Garlic Naan is my fave and I love their Basmati.

The staff is very friendly.  At first, our server seemed like he was rushing us but he was very nice and made conversation with us.  We loved the food and this is why we decided to order again when our family came to visit.

For our take out order, we ordered Shrimp Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Chicken Tikka and my brother-in-law wanted the Lamb Chops but the person who took the order heard Lamb Saag.  I didn't realize the mistake had been made until I brought the food back home.  I immediately called Neha and told them what happened.  I spoke to Anthony and he was very accommodating.  He told me that the next time we order, he'll throw in my Lamb Chop dish for free!  Since my husband was in the vicinity tonight, I called up for my Lamb Chops, Anthony was actually the person who picked up the phone and he said my hubby could stop by and pick up the dish.

When hubby got to Neha, they just started to prepare the meal and the owner actually came out and offered my husband a drink while he waited.  When the food was ready, hubby asked for the bill for his drink and the owner said it was on the house since he had to wait.

This is true customer service.  It doesn't matter how inexpensive or expensive a place is.  I am a repeat customer when I feel like my patronage matters.  I will pay a little extra when it is in a place that knows how to treat their customers.  WE didn't pay ANYTHING for tonight's meal and were still treated as though we were spending a lot of money.

Neha is in the neighborhood and will be a regular dining spot for myself and my family.  I am glad to have found them and will be happy to try them a fourth time and more.  Please try them out.  It would be a shame to lose them in the community and I believe that because of their location, they don't get nearly as much foot  traffic and diners as they should.  The food is beyond good.

  5. I would like to revise my review based on my experience last night. My fiancé and I had our engagement party here last night and it was amazing. The restaurant manager, Dhiya, worked with us every step of the way to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The decorations were set up, the lights all aglow, the bars and food stations all set up, the cake, everything was done perfectly. Dhiya constantly checked up on me to make sure I was happy and that we were fed and we were having fun. If I requested something, it happened. The evening was a blast and people are still talking about it! The food was plentiful an delicious and there was endless mango lassis. I was a very happy bride to be yesterday. Thank you so much! And the waiter that was so horrible to us last time – he has been let go which alleviated some of my stress as well. Go here for a nice event!

  6. I wish more people in Yonkers knew about this place, it really is a gem! I've been here twice, and each time I come in the dining area has only one or two other tables filled, which kind of bums me out because the food here is unparalleled in the neighborhood. The restaurant is divided into two sections. On the left is the main dining area which is really spacious and has a small buffet area for lunchtime. On the right is a private hall for events.

The chicken tikka masala is perfectly delicious (though I don't think I've ever had bad tikka masala). The goat saag (goat served in a thick spinach "sauce") is a great choice if you want something flavorful & more on the healthy side. And the lamb vindaloo has some really great spices. Each table gets a bowl of rice to share, and they'll bring you extra whenever you need. Naan is mandatory. And I was surprised by how good the cocktails are here. Their twist on a Manhattan is among the best I've had. Our waiter asked us how strong we want our drinks, and my response was "as strong as possible." He didn't disappoint 🙂

The only negative I have with Neha is that once they start to get busier, you'll end up waiting a longer time to get your server's attention. There were only 2 on the floor on a Saturday night, so once they started to fill up, we waited a good 15-20 minutes before he came back to our table. Our waiter had a portable phone in his back pocket the whole time, and even picked it up to take an order while serving our drinks. Other than that, he was very attentive and polite. I definitely recommend coming here after a day of shopping at Cross County over the fast food options they have inside of the mall: Neha is right around the corner from the movie theater and the food is exponentially better, so it's worth the walk/drive.

  7. This is my go to favorite Indian place in the area. I've been here a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. The place itself is huge. There is ample parking in front with a big parking lot so that isn't an issue. It might be a little hard to find with the one way streets nearby but Google Maps reliably takes me there. Inside, the place is very nice and it is apparent that it is sometimes used as a banquet hall and for various events. To start, they serve the typical crackers and various sauces which is good but standard. To eat, I always get the chicken tikka masala. This is all I get at any Indian restaurant and it doesn't cease to disappoint here either. It is creamy, not too oily, spicy, flavorful, and made with high quality spices and boneless white meat chicken. It really is everything you'd ever want in a chicken tikka masala so why would you go anywhere else instead for this dish? The rice is great and the naan is tasty and always served hot, just out of the oven. The prices are what you would expect for a table cloth nice Indian meal but nothing crazy, especially given the area. I extremely highly recommend this place. It's fantastic and after trying a few other Indian places in the area, I will no longer go anywhere else for my nearby Indian fix except for Neha Palace.
