Ok, I will admit, I was skeptical to try out this place, being new to the area. But again, I tried out my fellow yelpers recommendations, and I wasn't disappointed.
Bonus points, this place delivers. I however, walked into the place, looking for beef and broccoli, my favorite chinese staple. Of course, they had it, as well as my other go to dish, the sesame chicken. While I was sitting there, waiting for my food, which took all of 10 minutes, I couldn't help but notice the B rating from the restaurant inspectors. I was determined not to let this deter me and my quest for decent chinese food, but I was slightly turned off at the crowded seating area, as well as an overall feel of icky. Thankfully, I didn't see any varmin, and yes, I was on the lookout.
Took home my food, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at the sesame chicken combo. The food was good, hot, and fresh. The beef and broccoli was a little bit light on the sauce, but the white rice that accompanied it was also hot and fresh. The egg roll was also good, a little more spicy than a typical egg roll.
Prices are good and fair, and there is a $10 minimum for delivery, which is not a big deal. Next time, I think I will try out their delivery.
Being Asian myself, I rarely find myself going in and out of a Chinese fast food joint but if you have a crave for some good chicken wing, then Chinese fast food it shall be.
This place sells their fried chicken wing by fours within an order and usually satisfies a quick fix of craving. They do double fry their chicken but that just gives it that nice golden color and an unforgettable crisp. I mean, which place don't double fry their chicken nowadays.
Besides for the chicken, their pepper steak over fried rice is great also. Bell peppers and onions sauteed with beef in a thick gravy sauce that was draped over the rice is an inexpensive alternative if you're feeling for a satisfying chinese meal. One more thing, their onion rings is amazing, crispy, crunchy and plump – no it doesn't wilt when it gets cold, that's what I like about them.
