  1. The New Fully Bakery has a good selection of different baked items. If you go to one Asian bakery they are basically all the same. Amazing how many Asian bakeries are here in Elmhurst, NY. Must be very competitive, but then again there are some variations within each of the bakeries that makes them stand out.

They have $1 dollar sliced piece of square sponge cake which is soft and nicely decorated. Then there is the $2.50 slice of cakes of chocolate varieties next to the sponge ones. They taste good too.

Trays of buns with different fillings all stacked out on the left side of the wall as you walk in which is very narrow and small. Sometimes, it is packed. Be patient for the line goes fast and there are several staff working there on the counter.

    Enjoy.

  2. I adore this bakery.  There is definitely something cozy, warm, and different about the atmosphere as well as the offerings than any other Asian bakery I have been to.  The inside is very cramped, sometimes you cannot even pass people and just have to wait for them to get out of the way.

Everything here is not just made of the same cake batter.  There are also cookies and sandwiches, all homemade.  The Coconut Cream bun here is the best I have ever had.  The green tea cakes are what lured me in to begin with.  Almost all of the customers were coming in and ordering Bubble Tea, maybe next time.

  3. This place definitely has different products other than the typical Chinese style bakery buns and cakes. The prices are very very reasonable where most products are in the $1 range.

Everything is individually wrapped which gives it the feeling of being sanitary.

The variety they fit into this tiny little store is mind boggling. I walked in here and couldn't believe the sheer volume of products shoved into a tiny little store. It was confusing because there was soooo much to choose from.

I have to comeback and maybe start in the right in the back of the store and work my way around clockwise? I had to think of a strategy because I was getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices.

  4. I recently popped in for a lai cha (tea with milk).  They use light cream, so most people who are lactose intolerant can handle it.  It is delicious.  They speak Chinese and English pretty clearly.  I also notice a variety of different buns and snacks.  I decided on the bor lo bau (pineapple bun).  Yum!  I noticed homemade bread and prepared sandwiches.  There were different sizes for coffee, hot chocolate, tea, etc.  It is small with no seating, so you might as well take it go and eat in the park/playground further down the street.

  5. Went after eating at the Malaysian restaurant next door. Everything looked really good. However the two cakes we bought were both really dry. Like very dry. And the staff seemed annoyed we were there despite us being the only people. Wouldn't recommend it with so many other bakeries in the area.

  6. Nice small Bakery squeezed between a row of stores on this Elmhurst side street.

I get a craving for their large variety of pastry rolls.
My favorite is the strawberry with coconut sprinkles with no cream; only $3.00.
They have many other varieties too.

  7. Very tiny bakery but they make some pretty good pastries and buns. Their bread don't taste old or stale like many Flushing bakeries. They don't have a large variety but what they do have is fairly decent. Their prices are pretty reasonable and their location is not that bad either. It's just a block away from the Elmhurst train station, across the street from Broadway park and conveniently next to two Chinese supermarkets. I do like this bakery more than Fay Da Bakery because the bread taste better. Everything in Fay Da taste old and re-baked. This place isn't the greatest bakery but give it a shot if you're nearby, it's cheap.

  8. Came here three times while staying at my friend's in Elmhurst. I was surprised to find that they have Pork Sung bun with Sponge cake, the best thing ever for like $1 or so. I couldn't stop eating it for breakfast while I was there. I haven't found one here in LA, anyone knows? I miss it!
