Immediately following two extraordinary excursion trails at nearby Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, hunger pangs strike hard. Our party of two improvise to Broad Channel on a whim in hopes of food fulfillment which low and behold the bar tender/ owner abruptly dismissed us with a callous: "the kitchen is closed until September!!" without further ado. The facade signage stated "bar and grill" hence GRILL which implies food. The interior is dark of a typical American pub with nostalgic old gas pump signs and soda signs including pool tables. No air ventilation exist. We assume since the kitchen is closed for the entire summer, this business only serves as a local bar in the Broad Channel island for alcoholic drinks rendering nothing more, nothing less.
When inquiring for a business card, I also received the callous cold shoulder to be shunned away with another abrupt "NO." Ergo, no is my response for a return visit.
