Ordered a chicken and broccoli lunch special with hot and sour soup and pork fried rice. Took about 5 minutes to fill my order, which was good. the food was ok, a good portion of broccoli, a decent portion of chicken although not abundant, but there was nothing special about it. mainly just filled me up.
my only issue is that for $8, it was a much smaller portion of food than other available chinese options around me i.e. Hunan Manor or Mapo Tofu. for about $1.50 more, the entree would have been served in its own take-out container, with a pint of fried rice served separately, which i can usually make into 2 meals. i like to be able to stretch my dollar in the lunch wasteland that is midtown.
for a fast take-out option, New Ming's Delight will do in a pinch, particularly if you're not used to or don't like authentic Chinese food and are instead opting for Westernized options (not judging, after all i ordered chicken and broccoli).
For Chinese take out this place is over priced. The food is mediocre to said the least. I stop going after they raised their prices.
I have only had takeout from here but it's decent. I particularly like the egg drop/wonton soup mix. Scallion pancakes were crispy and not too greasy. Roast pork noodle soup was tasty and the pork wasn't to fatty. Chow fun was good but the shrimps were just OK. It's pretty cheap so don't expect fancy but if you want fuel for a late night at work this place works just fine.
Fast, cheap and quick lunch special. The interior of the restaurant is pretty clean for a Chinese place. I will be back again at some point when I'm craving beef with broccoli for lunch.

We weren't looking to eat. Or were we? After watching a movie a few blocks down, we decided to take a leisurely stroll back to The Pod. I was jumpy because I am not used to walking around after midnight. I drive everywhere when in Los Angeles. But, okay. If we get mugged, at least there's 2 of us.
Two fatties walking, we went to get donuts. Then just when we were about to turn onto 39th street, we noticed this one store with their lights on. Food! Chinese food! What the heck? Why haven't we noticed this place before? Maybe because we always head out towards Grand Central Station from the hotel. Darn it. Well. Now's our chance for some cheap Chinese food.
I bet the cook wasn't too happy when he saw us walk in. It was 10 till 1 and they were ready to close.
What did we have. I forgot. It was actually good; not mind blowing good but, you know. Panda Express quality.
Somewhere in NY, I hear the cook shouting, "Blasphemy!"
But I love the service. They were pretty nice to us regardless of our timing. Definitely a good place for some affordable Chinese food in this area.
