Nice mini-mart at this gas station…….too bad it's very overpriced.
I worked in the area, so this place was convenient to me as far as getting a quick soft drink, candy, a bag of chips or something along the lines. Once in a while, I'll grab a quick roll or bagel in the mornings when I was in a rush. For convenience alone, this place is ok.
That's pretty much where it ends. For the items this inside, just about everything is overpriced from the drinks to the snacks, this place has no heart for the wallet. For instance a basic large Gatorade will run you $2.56 as opposed to the CVS across the street selling the same drink in a non-sale price of $1.99(which is already too high as it is). Just one of many, many examples of their high priced items. I understand the basic principal of convenience for people looking to get gas and wind up picking up a few things inside instead of going elsewhere – and I know most service stations overcharge for simple things – but this place is a little ridiculous with that. Maybe if people (including myself) just stopped buying non-gas from places like this, they will learn and stop their universal high prices. They're not the only gas station that does this either, but they're among the most expensive I've ever been in.
As far as the appearance of the station as a whole, it's pretty clean and open. The aisles inside are clean and well stocked and there is enough space outside for people getting gas or just parking. Some people park in bad positions which is not convenient for others, but that selfishness is everywhere. The staff inside is largely unfriendly. It took me months for one of the cashiers to even say 'thank you' after seeing his grouchy face every morning for months. There has been one or two friendly employees inside, but a pale number when considering everyone……including the franchise owner, who's also not a friendly type. Guess that's why a simple smile or 'thank you' is so hard to come by in there. There was even one cashier during the early afternoon hours I wanted to slap in the head just for being a little more rude than the norm inside there.
As far as the gas, same old same old. It's pricey when comparing to other stations in the area. I've gotten gas on occasion here when it was convenient, but it wouldn't normally be my first choice. About 2-3 miles down, there's a Getty station which has cheaper gas, in which I'll go if I need gas for the time. There's s 6 front/back pumps, so there is plenty of spots to pump gas in your car without much of a wait. There's 4 entrance/exits which is convenient enough. Overall, a decent looking station with plenty of options.
Inside there's a wide variety of snacks, candy, chips, cookies..etc. There's a decent selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non. Ice cream, canned goods, and basic mini-mart items are in here, as well as oil, basic tools, and even previously viewed dvds. The coffee area is always busy, so although I've never had their coffee apparently a lot of people can't be wrong. In the mornings, they have buttered rolls, bagels, donuts, and pre-made sandwiches (though speaking from experience there, I would examine the sandwiches closely before purchasing), and a decent selection of things one might need while on the road. They even have lotto (both scratch off and numbers) here.
Selections are good here, but prices are not. Use caution.
