I saw that this was a new food spot in the neighborhood so came here for a quick lunch with my boyfriend.
I wasn't too happy or thrilled about the interior of the restaurant. It looks like a Chinese take-out restaurant with limited ventilation, seating, and lack of decor. Since the menu and food sounded decent we gave this restaurant a shot.
I tried the Glass Jello with Ice (it's really not glass – it's grass jelly) and it came with soy milk. The drink was nice, cool, and refreshing. I enjoyed it very much.
For entrees, I had the shredded ham with instant noodle and somehow I would imagine it would look as yummy as the ones from the Hong Kong style restaurants, but it was far from it. The shredded ham with instant noodle was served on a paper plate and the meal itself didn't look at all appealing. There was hardly any color to the dish and everything looked like it was tossed randomly. There were also burnt pieces of onion, eggs, and ham in my dish. This dish didn't taste good at all, needs serious improvement!
My boyfriend had the grilled pork chop over rice which also didn't look appealing. The grilled pork chop was seasoned and cooked just right. The Chinese vegetables that was used looked very greasy. My boyfriend wasn't too happy with his dish either.
The owner of the restaurant was making friendly conversation with us and saying how long they've been open and said to come back again to try more of their food. I honestly don't think we will be returning here at all. Although it's inexpensive, the food was really poor quality and serving on paper plates? really? Not appealing at all.
