Quick and easy delicious food!
During lunch time it can get pretty busy and hard to find a spot but it calms down around 1:30 – after all the offices are done rig their lunch time.
They started playing house music recently, which is awesome! Definitely keeps you entertained and gives you a boost of energy while you eat, that's is, if you enjoy this genre of music
This is a go to lunch spot if you work in the area. Yes there is plenty of middle eastern food, including cheap food carts, but do yourself a favor – eat here. They have vegan options – I usually get the falafel trio platter. One of the cabbages is vegan – make sure to ask if you want egg-free. There toppings are great. If you eat in, they have a nice little setup near eat table with harissa.
Maybe I just don't know middle eastern cuisine, but I expected better based on Yelp reviews.
I got the falafel trio, which I found all right. The hummus was great, but the slaw, cabbage, and Israeli salad that came with it was nothing to special. The falafel was a quite dry, compared to falafel I've had in other places.
My friend got the avocado salad. The description said it came with pesto dressing, but it had so little. Kind of bland.
Nothing was bad, per se, but I think the only thing I really liked was the hummus.
I appreciate any opportunity to eat falafel (except that one time I made the terrible mistake of picking up deli section falafel at Whole Foods…don't ask) so I was overjoyed to find this falafel place.
Nish Nush was so incredibly delicious. I ordered the classic falafel with green falafel, hummus, Israeli salad, and tahini. Y'all, it was amazing!
The falafel was so crispy and flavorful that I was almost overwhelmed with how good it was and didn't think it could be any better — WRONG! You have to put the green sauce on your sandwich. I don't know what kind of sorcery is in that delicious, spicy sauce but sign me up.
I can't wait to get back to the city and try a few more options with that evil green sauce.
Again, happened to be in the area- we needed a quick bite and wondered into Nish Nush… What's with the vegetarian spots in NYC? Does just everyone know how to make good meat-less food here?! At first I was like, "You don't eat no meat!" But then I stuck a falafel in my mouth and just shut the f*ck up… It's too much food for the price (is that a bad thing?) but it's all good… Try it…
By far some of the best pita in the city. They have a ton of variety here, as well as strikingly fresh-tasting ingredients, kind of like what Subway wishes you thought of when thinking of that pit of sadness.
I've been a couple times, but on my latest trip I had the Popeye sandwich which was overflowing with yummy red cabbage, fresh falafel, and tangy tahini sauce. The service was also extremely quick, making it an ideal lunch spot.
Go here.
Ordered the classic falafel – priced very well. But the sandwich got very dry as soon as i went past the sauces on the top. The flavors were there and i liked the salad in the falafel too. I'll go here again but maybe i'll ask them to put the sauces spread out towards the bottom and top…
Super, super fresh tasting! I ordered the Popeye sandwich (which included Spinach falafel) and it was not only flavorful, but very filling. The wholewheat pita had that sweet taste to it that you can only find in handmade breads. The falafel was a little but less seasoned than I expected but the creamy hummus and the mystery hot sauce (made in-house – green in a small container on the table) made up for it. The texture of the falafel was ON POINT though! Soft in the middle and a harder outside with a little bit of a crunch. Overall, great place for a lunch or snack because it fills you up without giving you that icky overstuffed, over greased feeling. I loved the decor — especially the fact that the counters had chickpeas in them! Being able to sit and people watch was a plus as well.
Would go back to try the baklava and to satisfy my next Mediterranean food craving!
