My name is Rem and I am a chocoholic!!!!
While visiting my sister in Toronto over the Holiday season I was introduced to 'No Chewing Allowed' French Truffles and I have one word to describe them and that is 'WOW.' My sister came across these amazing truffles in Bryant Park in New York City.
No Chewing Allowed is an amazing truffle that literally melts in your mouth. It is extremely hard one you palate is activated to not chomp down and eat these things in your mouth like M&M's.
After returning from Canada I immediately went onto the No Chewing Allowed website and ordered the value pack 35.2 ounces which converts to 108 truffles divided into 4 vacuum sealed bags. The cost including shipping from NYC was $58.73, money well spent.
Upon receiving my shipment I was stoked to open to one of the bags and smell that freshness. I popped one of these truffles into my mouth and it was amazing!!!
I brought these truffles into work and let my coworkers try them and they were as amazed as I at the taste and how hard it was to fight the urge to chew these truffles. I honestly thought of dumping these truffles into a bowl with some coconut milk and eating it as cereal but I respectfully fought off that thought.
I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach with this order and I might have ordered too much but in good faith I will give a majority away so I do not feel too guilty when it is time to order more.
If you are a fellow chocoholic (actual word) take my word that you have never experienced anything like 'No Chewing Allowed.' If you are not planning a trip to NYC anytime soon, get on their website and order you some, you will not be disappointed, just don't tell you dentist=)
Best hot chocolate I have ever had. If you are a chocolate love you'll love this. It's very thick and heavy, but you won't feel like you're drinking fondue. It's sweet with a tad hint of bitter to offset, in my opinion.
A small cup is $5, and honesty that is all you need. I hope I get to go again and this time purchase the truffles. My mouth is salivating writing this.
My sister and her boyfriend, along with me, went to purchase a cup and it was a sold out. One of the employees had half a cup as leftovers and decided to just give us because it was too small to sell. What great customer service and he had a nice heart.
I wish the best for this place and its employees. Give them a raise!
I will be back!
Let me emphasize something about this place: IT HAS THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD. They melt a truffle, making the coco so thick, hence the crafty name "No Chewing Allowed". This hot coco is what dreams are made of. When I'm stressed out and go to my happy place, it now includes a cup of this rich, warm coco! The truffles and chocolate are also incredibly delicious and make great Christmas gifts. Forget Godiva-you can grab a box of 22 French Truffles for $13.95. My math could be slightly off, as i was experiencing a severe chocolate high; but i think thats a good price-I've definitely purchased more expensive truffles before. The hot chocolate on the other hand is $5 for a small cup (obviously pricey), but well worth it.
Side Note: So the location reads Elmhurst, but ive never been to that one. The posted picture is from the Bryant Park Holiday Market location; they also have a holiday shop in Union Square.
Really cute concept. Very tasty. Nice pop-up.
I tried one and realized it just wasn't for me. The coffee felt like if had ground glass in it. I'm sure it's supposed to be that way. I'm not into my mouth and tongue being scratched and cut! It really did taste good. It felt uncomfortable. I've got a sensitive mouth!
I'm glad you can buy just one. I had the experience and now I'm over it!
Omg the truffles are amazing! They literally melt in your mouth! These truffles make great gifts for any chocolate addict… Or for yourself!
BEWARE, they get you with their chocolate truffle samples at the holiday market at 14th street. You try to walk away, but you decide to snag a few more samples and figure their hot chocolate must be good as well since you see them drop 1 into a cup. You fight your inner demons, and whip out a 5 dollar bill for a less than normal small sized cup of hot chocolate.
Their hot chocolate is DELICIOUS. Not too sweet, creamy, probably good that it's a smaller cup than usual because it probably isn't healthy to consume that much chocolate, but so good that you can probably do with another cup.
