I was distressed to hear in recent days of the closing of their location on the Lower East Side, but I was very pleased with the food and service of the Teaneck location when I dined there in the winter of 2011. Furthermore, they bear the Tav haYosher, indicating a commitment to ethical and fair business and labor practices, which is always a positive development in the arena of kosher dining.
Dining with a friend, I sampled a corned beef knish, as well as the hot open brisket plate, with gravy and french fries. The knish was flaky and well-seasoned, and the brisket tender and accompanied by gravy. The fries appeared fresh, as they had the skins still on them, but could have been better.
Noah's Ark isn't in the elite echelons of kosher delis, but it is nonetheless a respectable establishment offering deli to the kosher keepers of Teaneck. I'd certainly eat here again if I were in the area and wishing for deli.
