I did not know this place was a chain. I knew there were two in Union City, but I just thought they had the same name for some…reason. Still had a mom and pop vibe in that you get more than your money's worth.
I got the Pollo de la Plancha (Grilled Chicken Breasts for you Americans out there) and it was delicious. So good. If you are hungry, you gotta come through and get your Colombian on. Everything looks amazing and they even have shakes.
This close to NYC it's a shock they don't charge more.
This food is delicious. As with most places I review on Yelp, my girlfriend and I stumbled across this place and decided to give it a go. We're both glad we did. I'll keep it short because I have Tomb Raider to play (the 2013 remake is excellent FYI) She got surf and turf and I got pork with mushroom sauce. Both were tasty and cheap. Then to finish our meals off we ordered smoothies that were refreshing. Although the smoothies are pretty big, so I suggest you split one. Great food, great price, big portions, and friendly service. We'll be back for sure.
The chicharones are amazing. I got a 61 dollar ticket because I parked in front of the place in a bus stop so be careful where you park but it was definitely well worth it. I also ordered a chicken empanada that was really good. Traditional
Colombian food.
Craving Colombian food? This sure is the place to go! I have been coming here for years and I still can't get enough of it! It's just excellent!
The staff is always very nice and the service is very quick!
Everything on the menus is great, they have so many items that are all equally great that is hard to choose what to get sometime
You can never go wrong getting a order of empanadas, and their Chicharon is to die for! For a entree, I always get the Carne Asada , just plain YUM . They also serve the best rice and beans ever! Wash it all down with some Manzana (apple soda) your in heaven!
They even offer desserts here as well which is always a nice treat! Even though the meals I. General are a little pricey, it is worth it and there are ALWAYS leftovers to bring home! The portions are HUGE and no I'm not exaggerating.
The best thing about this place is that it's a chain restaurant in our area. I have been to all of them to see if they are all good and sure enough they are! Great job Noches for always being consistent!
Still not convinced? Well here's another example for you, my dad is a full blooded Italian man at heart and he is even obsessed!
I come here with my boy and brother who eat just as much as me, all i have to say it get the Badeja paisa…breakfast of champs haha. It has crispy pork slab cut,avacado,2 eggs, beans rice, plantains, sausage link,steak..if your not full after your a monster lol…place is crowded at times but hey…good food draws crowds…am i right or am i right…food is awesome..been to two locations other in west new york in which i ate tostones here with white rice, chicken, shrimp and steak….authentic columbian food, great price, quantity, quality and A plus service
Stopped here for lunch one day. Ordered a chicken dish with some rice, beans, etc.
Food was decent… needed a little more kick for me.
I also ordered a fresh orange juice, which was really good.
Came here today, on New Year's Day, for some brunch and oh man, they did not disappoint!
First of all, props to them for being open today. They gettin that $$$! Second, our waitress was awesome. Clearly, bf and I don't speak Spanish, and she tried her best to communicate with us!
Get this. We paid $35, not including tip, for our whole meal and we are A LOT. So because we ate so much, I'm just going to do this buzzfeed style and list!
– Beef empanada. Not to be mistaken with PR empanadas, these were filled with some kind of potato and beef. Delicious, you can't go wrong.
– Chicharon. The fat is fried to a crisp. Need I say more?
– Grilled steak with two sides, white rice and tostones. I like PR and Dominican style tostones better as these were thicker. The white rice was on point. This also same with a small russet potato that's been stewing in some sauce. This dish was delicious and they gave a super huge serving of steak, it seemed.
– Breaded shrimp with fries (and tostones, it was our default choice. Wish we tried other sides!). Bf was impressed. The shrimp was breaded well and crispy, while the inside was moist. Oh, and the shrimp… They're freakin huge. This was a good entree. Another important thing to mention – the fries were crispy and well seasoned!
– The coffee is a must have if you're into coffee. It's deliciously made.
Overall, the service was exceptional. It was fast and friendly. Upon asking for the check, we asked if they had batidos. And what our waitress's favorite was. She suggested passion fruit and it did not disappoint. Again. All this food for $35. No joke, pay them a visit
The bandeja paisa was an excellent first-time dish – featuring sausage, steak, chicharron, eggs, rice, beans and plaintains. The secret weapon was the tangy green sauce.
While I generally enjoy this massive offering at any restaurant, the one here was distinguished by above-average steak and beans, and the chicharron was perfectly cooked in a way that made it easy to break off the good stuff.
Huge menu and friendly service so I'll probably return shortly.
