I stopped by this food truck off Union Square one night on my way to dinner. Yes I do eat on my way to eat, I'm fat.
I got the ground beef empanada. The crust was light and flakey and the filling was flavorful. It was pretty small but in the city for $3 I wasn't expecting anything too big.
Next time I want to try the one filled with short ribs ~ mmmm
Kiosk is located in the heart of Times Square. The empanadas are premade and reheated in the microwave. They are not terrible, but they aren't good either. Our empanadas were priced at $3.00 per piece and they were much smaller than typical empanadas. We don't regret the purchase or giving it a try, but I doubt we will be returning.
