  1. Tacos here were underwhelming.  I tried the namesake, assuming that it'd be solid.  After all, a place called Suadero Tacos damn well better have a good suadero taco.  To note: They didn't.

I tried the chicken taco too, and it was extremely bland.  Almost shockingly bland.  The only saving grace was the cecina, which was decent, though unspectacular.

They also gave the "gringo treatment" of when we asked for water, they brought a bunch of Poland Spring.  Yeah blah blah, economy, need profit whatever.  It's been going on for awhile, and frankly, I'm sick of it.

  2. When I'm looking for tacos or burritos, this is where I head.  It's the same price as the taco trucks (for reasons passing understanding, since the trucks don't have to pay rent overhead) and its open 24 hours.

  3. This is a spot in my neighborhood I visit often since their food is good and they are 24hrs. Prices are pretty cheap, the waitresses speak mostly Spanish but they will try to accommodate as best as they can with a smile. I can speak basic Spanish so that helps.

    The food:

Taco de Lengua- If you haven't had beef tongue, you are missing out. I think Mexicans make beef tongue the best out of any country. It's basically like melt in your mouth pot roast, this is a must order.

Tortas de Cubana- This is the oh crap sandwich, they kinda put everything in it. Your stomach will love you, your heart will not.

Tostada- I think these are fun but a pain in the ass to eat. Think of it as an open face hard shell taco. The crunch is pretty awesome.

Burritos- The burritos are pretty filling, I like them and these are more of a knife and fork job.

  4. Real Deal Meal

I frequently run here for lunch when I'm at work. I get chicken tacos. They put a massive amount of meat in their tacos. The diced grilled chicken is well-seasoned and is mixed in with some diced green peppers and some diced onions. The downside is that they don't give you complimentary chips like Tacos Al Suadero on 94th street. However, there is an awesome secret about this taco spot. About eight out of ten times they will give you a grilled green onion/scallion/spring onion. The sweet semi-soft yet still crisp baby bulb on this bad boy does a great job cleansing your palate and it takes the meal to another level. They also give you a tiny little free mint that I use to rid my breath of any onionyness before I go back to school.

    5 bucks+1 dollar tip+a mint later = pure satisfaction.

  5. Really impressed with this taco place! I just recently came back from San Diego and that's where we all know the good tacos are at but seriously this is on par! Portion size was big too. slightly larger than average size for tacos and so much good filling !! Get the chorizo one for sure and beef tounge! I'd skip out on the basic pork. Spicy pork is okay too.
