The food is good. The sandwiches be a bit messy to eat. The chicken soup is perfect for a cold day. If you're looking for quantity, there are many places around that surpass Num Pang. If you're looking for something flavorful and different from the typical FiDi sandwich, this is the perfect place.
Too bad this place closes at 7PM. The owner should seriously consider changing the closing time for the summer when seaport is flooded with tourists.
I'm so glad there's now a Num Pang near my office!! Located right behind the 200 Water St apartment complex, the location isn't the most obvious in this part of FiDi.
I've been to a few of the Num Pangs around the city, and I generally really appreciate the creative Asian-inspired flavors offered at the shop. This time, I ordered my favorite catfish sandwich, but I was not very impressed with what I was presented with. The bread was deliciously toasted, and the fish was very tender, but everything was drenched in far too much sauce. I couldn't taste anything except for overwhelming sweetness. Clearly, there's lots of potential but Num Pang missed the mark for me this time.
Some may find the sandwiches to be small for the price, and while I agree that this is definitely not the place to get the most bang out of your buck, I think the portion is a decent size for lunch in between work.
