I though they had closed this location due to the construction and renovations going on. Man I am so glad they moved right across the street. Well there is no more spiral staircase which was so cool. And yea their sitting is so limited now. Like 6 chairs but the sandwiches are topps here.
When I saw turkey on the seasonal menu it was like yea..more turkey. Thanksgiving is over but come on who doesnt love fresh turkey breast on a Num Pang sandwich. It was delish plus you cant leave here without a pork belly sandwich cause this taste so good with the asian pear. By the way I have been here so many times that the pork belly usually sells out.
So if you are ever by University and 12th Street pass by you will not be disappointed at this Num Pang location. Glad I opened my eyes cause I gave up on this location cause of the construction.

Came here to pick up one of their sandwiches for lunch! It's a really small store with seating for about 5 people so I would recommend getting your sandwich to go and eating it in Union Square! Despite the constraints of such a tightly packed store, I thought the service was superb and I was able to get my sandwich like a minute after I ordered it. I opted for the popular 5 spice pork belly sandwich and I found it to be absolutely delicious! You get a thick cut of pork belly that had a slightly high fat to meat ratio to it, which actually made it very juicy and savory. Along with the pork belly are your usual banh mi veggies like carrots, cucumbers and cilantro. The spicy mayo sauce was spot on. The bread had the right crispiness to it and wasn't too stale. I ended up paying over $10 for this sandwich, which I think is a bit overpriced but the fact that it tasted so good and that I was full after eating it makes the price reasonable.
Really good sandwiches at a good price. I've had their tofu bahn mi which was really good and taken a bite of someone else's pork belly bahn mi, also very good.
Num Pang's Cambodian style sandwiches will never live up to the Vietnamese Banh Mi.
Small little sandwich spot. Limited seating inside. You can order inside or at the outside window. Service was quick.
Pulled Duroc Pork – $8.95 – Really saucey. Pork was overpowered by the honey sauce. Also did not mix well with the pickled veggies. Very very TINY, about the size of a hot dog. I could get 3 huge Banh Mi's for this price.
Definitely way over priced compared to similar sandwiches I have had but hey it is really good here. The pork belly one is delish. I heard the chicken one is pretty good as well. They have these sweet pickles in their sandwiches that also taste amazing. At 8-10 dollars…well I guess its cheap for manhattan.
I ordered the brown rice bowl with grilled vegetables, chili yogurt, and chive lime vinaigrette. Delicious, affordable, and hearty. I loved it! The space itself is very cramped so don't plan to dine in.
Had a very tasty and fresh salad with chicken. Large portion of chicken. The sandwiches looked great. There are a few seats, actually stools, for eating in as I did. Not real comfortable though. Am I showing my age by saying the music was turned out too high for a small place like this?
Very nice young lady behind the counter last night.
Served its purpose very well as I was looking for a place for a quick bite before meeting friends for the movies. Get a stool facing out into the street and enjoy your food and people watch!
Came out to about $14 for salad and soda.
Have been to a few of the locations around the city and have had pretty consistent solid food and service. I came here at night and ordered the chimi chicken bowl with brown rice. I asked for double chicken but was told that the company does not do any modifications (I was willing to pay for the extra chicken!). The chicken was tasty as usual, so we're the veggies. However, the brown rice was a bit stale and crunchy. First unpleasant occurrence I have had any num pang, I would give this particular experience a 3 star rating but am leaving 4 stars for this review because that's what I rate my overall experiences with Num Pang.
