have not really eaten any of their other food”

To start off, I cannot review the dining experience because we order the food and they had it deliver to our workplace. They were very friendly when we was ordering and ask them to come at 12 to our workplace and they did. We order a large pie with 2 toppings ( Mushrooms and Meat lover). The pizza was great and it was thin crust. I am not a fan of thin crust pizza but this one was really good. I would recommend ordering from this place. I hope to dine here one day!
I always use to pass by this place and always wondered how their pizza is. I finally went in & ordered a pie. I definitely was not disappointed. Their crust is a little thicker than the other pizzerias that I go to. This is one pizzeria not worth passing by.
Nunzio's didn't do it for me. I liked the picture of their old shop before they renovated it as it was really unique, and I'm disappointed they changed it. The new layout has a restaurant in the back, and a narrow pizzeria with no seating in the front. The staff was nice, but I didn't find the slice that much better than average.
Their slice looks good aethetically. There is a puffy crust, nice amount of char on the bottom, and whiteness of the cheese contrasts nicely with the deep red tomato sauce. Their sauce is very good, with a nice amount of acidity but not too much. The crust, although it has a bit of char, is pretty average tasting and wasn't as soft as I thought it might. The real problem is the cheese, which is thick, globby, and ends up unbalancing the slice. It wasn't so much bad quality processed mozzarella as it wasn't the best selection of cheese to put on a pizza.
With a different cheese (Grande?), this slice could've been solid, but even then there was the crust. Regardless, a good slice for the neighborhood, but not among the best the Island has to offer.
Good quality Staten Island pizzeria. What was different about this place vs other Staten Island pizzerias we tried was the moistness of the crust. Because of the way its cooked, the crust has this moistness to it which really enhanced the flavour of the sauce and the cheese. The cheese was incredibly stringy and the sauce was piping hot… if they bring out the pizza right away make sure you let it settle before you take a bite!
I certainly don't venture into Staten Island a lot so a couple things that annoyed me about this place I hear are pretty standard SI. For one, they don't really have a parking lot, so I ended up parking at the Autozone next door and hoping that I wouldn't get towed. Secondly, I've been spoiled on free fountain drink refills at every dine in and fast food chain there is, so it seems pretty stingy to give out a kid sized cup of soda and charge by the cup.
The pizza itself was pretty great, they advertise they use PollyO because it is a high quality cheese. It tasted nice and hot and is definitely a great pizza maker. It probably would have been better to take out if I lived nearby then dine in. The dining room is pretty small and they don't have air conditioning so it's a combo of fans and open windows which seems really amateur. There wasn't much to say about the dining room decor. It's not exactly a welcoming atmosphere, it's just very basic and budget. There was also a kid's pizza party going on and the room is pretty small so it was pretty hard to avoid the noise.
I would definitely recommend it for the pizza but not for the dining experience, but that's why pizza is such a great invention to get to to go.
Ughhh, not as good as it used to be and after my last experience, I would most likely not return considering how many other great pizza places there are on the island.
Last time I went with my sister. We ordered a fresh pie and ordered some slices to eat at the counter while we waited. After a few bites, my sister puts the slice down and says we had to leave. "What's wrong?" I ask. She points to said pizza slice and there is what appears to be a PUBIC HAIR just chilling on the cheese pizza. Now both of us have long hair, we were both wearing it up in a ponytail, and our hair is not black. We brought it to the server's attention who looked at it and said "my bad, you want another one?" No we don't want another one. We asked if there'd be pubic hair on the pizza and he said "I'll try not to"
uhhh gross. Never going back.
